Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She smiles.
"...And what if I told you that I baited you into killing your own siblings?"

 

There's a rush of air as I phase past Artemis and Ihra, running down the hall and quickly activating the elevator.

"Wait, Aj!" Artemis says, opening the door and running after me.

 

Ihra chases after Artemis, speeding her up.
"Don't kill yourself again, damnit!" She calls after you.

 

I'm already gone, though Artemis quickly turns the dials in the elevator.

 

"I'm sorry?"
He confused looks at her.

 

Ihra pauses.
"Think I can cut him off at the palace gate?" She asks quickly, preparing to teleport.

 

"He isn't there, and he wouldn't go through there." Artemis says.

 

She chuckles.
"I will repeat myself - what if I baited you into killing your own siblings? What if you weren't an only child, but one of four?"

"Where is he going?"

 

"Explain yourself!"

 

"If we're quick, we can catch him at the portal room." Artemis says, before activating the elevator and teleporting herself and Ihra to the portal room, as a portal to the void palace closes.

 

"You had two brothers and a sister, all of them thieves. All of them were used to living in the wild, and I made up stories of them doing terrible things so you would kill them."
Pause.
"If you aren't a monster, why would you be the bane of your brothers and sisters?"

"Wait... he can't get to Idhaenna's realms. He'll be stuck!" Ihra says as she opens another portal to the Void Palace.

 

Artemis runs through the portal, before jumping into a blue portal on the ground just before it closes.

 

Ihra traces the portal, concerned.

 

With fear in his eyes he looks at the Ziz.
"You.. you wouldn't."

 

The portal can't seem to be traced after it's closed.

 

She nods.
"I did... and you did."
Pause.
"...Monster."

Irritated, Ihra tries to link with Tenebrae.

 

Ihra can't seem to even form a strong enough connection to Tenebrae to just about speak to her.

 

"No.. you're the monster. You caused this. You made the false stories. You're responsible."

 

Ihra gives up, overly frustrated.

 

Nothing happens to Ihra from where she is.
