Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The prisoner trembles, but Sgavrinn seems confused before tilting his head and sniffing at him.

"You, uh... do realize that he usually eats plants, right?" Ragnyon asks.

 

"I'm not asking him to eat him. I'm asking him to drop him."

 

"Oh. I'm angry alright. But I'm mostly disappointed in you, guardian."

 

"Ugh, I had the weirdest dream." Vexa says, rubbing her eyes.

 

"Why would you kill the only person who's cooperating?"

"Surprise, you weren't dreaming. I had to go haul you back here. Remind me that Earth Guardian anything is heavy as hell."

"Why disappointment? Of all things, I can understand anger and I can understand disgust... but disappointment?"

 

"You're a GUARDIAN! You're supposed to protect the land, right?! Take care of everyone, right?!"

 

"Or you're just not strong enough to carry it." Vexa says.

 

"I'm supposed to take care of my children, and I'm supposed to protect the skies."

"Both!" Ruby complains.

 

"How long was I out?" Vexa asks.

 

"That's all? Can't say a guardian is that special then."

 

"The title is a poor one, yes."

"A couple hours. I didn't notice any signs of a heart attack, though, so you already fared better than the last visitor."

 

"The amount of sacrilege this one person has committed outclasses all others. But, you are correct. I'll be right back."

I take the prisoner back to his bonds, tie him up, and take the one next to him to Sgavrinn

 

"So at the moment, you're just an angry mother with to much power."

 

"Did anyone come to the shop?" Vexa asks.

 

Sgavrinn sniffs at him, still confused.
"You should find a different dragon to drop people out of the sky. He's a housepet, after all..."

"No, nobody. It's been quiet."

"That's one way of looking at it, I suppose."

 

"Really? I guess people don't really need weapons this time of year, unless they're fighting a cold war." Vexa says, smirking.

 

"I mean.. I get that you want to protect your children and all that, but building a new kingdom on the ashes of the people that lived here is not the right thing to do."

 

She nods, saying nothing.

Ruby rolls her eyes.
"I suppose it is the season for not killing each other. As much."

 

"So you agree? Then why would you do it?! There are many other species living in this forest that had nothing to do with the killing of your children, what are they supposed to do when you build a kingdom on their home?!"

 

"Flee, hide, suffer, and be hunted like the others."
