"Thanks, that'll really help." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

 

Miorah nods.
"You must be lucky to have a boyfriend who keeps you level headed during these absurd times."

 

"Friends second? They go first for me."

 

"I don't think I deserve someone as great as him, but I'm happy I've got him." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I'm joking. Our clothes are ready now, though, so we should figure out where to store them until we've gotten the word out to our friends and then set up the venue."

Miorah doesn't comment, opting to just leave.

 

Shadow Stephanie stays in her throne, working through the papers.

 

She's left to her own devices.


Ruby eventually shows back up at the city wall, albeit a day or so later.

 

Eve lands behind her.

"I've been following you for a while," Eve says, "The queen was concerned for your safety."

 

"I don't want to be watched by a mad queen, but I can't make it out there..." Ruby grumbles.

 

"The queen is not mad, her mental health is quite average." Eve says.

 

"No she's not, she ordered Ihra's execution! Only the Hive Master wills it!"

 

"Ihra's execution was never officially ordered, and she still lives." Eve says.

 

"That's a disgusting joke..."

 

"I wasn't attempting to make humor, I was stating facts." Eve says.

 

"The queen was joking, which disgusts me."

 

"Oh, in that way. Well, we can't store them in my territory because there isn't that much cover from nature."
Pause..
"Maybe one of the dragons has a cave in which we can store them?"

 

"Rema does, I bet."

 

"She wants to help you." Eve says.

 

"Probably. Maybe. Hope she has some room."

 

"With what? Putting me out of my misery?"

"She does." The wyvern comments. "She always does."
