Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, right, our art museum. Yeah, she can come." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Alright, I'll let her know. Thanks." Ihra says, blinking out of the room.


The Matriarch seems to have a few paint splotches on her face and one more painting in hand as she approaches the Shadow Palace gates.

 

"Yes?" The guards at the gate ask.

 

"Morning..."
He rubs his eyes.
"Yeah, that wasn't really a real good rest."

 

"I was told that I would be allowed to look at my old works and turn more in to the gallery?" She asks, a bit weary.

"I'm glad you didn't die to hypothermia. The waters here run cold."

 

"Oh, you're the artist that donated those paintings. Head on in." The guard says, opening the gates.

 

"Eh.. it's not that bad, just.. a little annoying to the ears."

 

"...I guess if that's what the offer was, I can't go back on it." She comments, going inside and heading towards the gallery.

"Among other things, I suppose."

 

He smiles and then looks at Anne.
"So, honey, there's something I forgot about due to this whole incident."

 

"That our clothes are ready?"

 

"Uhm.. yes. So you didn't forget, did you?

 

All of the Matriarch's artwork is still up, a few visitors looking at it in wonder and awe.

 

The Matriarch nervously approaches the gallery viewers.
"...Uh, there's a few more paintings en route." She utters, looking around for a place to put down her painting.

"Hell no I didn't forget!"

 

"Oh, really? Are they by the same artist?" One of the visitors asks.

 

"I didn't either, it's just that time went by really fast due to all the things that happened."

 

"Yeah... I'm the artist. The other paintings are back at home." She says, a bit nervous.

"Yeah... it'll be fine. The gorgon won't throw our wedding clothes away for us being late."

 

"Whoa, you're the artist?" The visitor asks, surprised.

"How do you come up with such...unique and fascinating pieces?" Another visitor asks.

 

"I listen to stories all the time... I just paint what I think those stories would look like." She says.

 

"Probably not, would cause a bad name for her business."

 

"Wow, that's amazing." The visitor says.

"Um, excuse me? Do you think you could sign my sketchbook? I'm a really big fan of your art." A forest guardian says nervously, holding out a leather sketchbook.
