"He's not losing much more blood, so that's a plus. I think we can get him back home, it'll just take a while."

 

The guard's hands fall off, the sap leaking out of them as he regrows his hands.

 

Miorah snickers.

 

"Thank goodness."
*sigh*
"She's gotta make it up for us."

 

"What? Who?"

 

"I wonder how the queen would react if I told her you attacked one of her guards?" The guard asks, contemplating.

 

"The queen already wants to execute us, and you were the one that dropped your hands, not me." Miorah shrugs.

 

"The Ziz. She's gonna make up for this, somehow."

 

"Okay, how? I can't see an angry guardian letting herself being taken advantage of."

 

"I can tell it was due to you, I'll be right back." The guard says, heading inside the palace.

 

"Tell her that I want Eve to execute me!" Miorah shouts at them.

 

Eve exits the palace doors a few moments later, glancing at Miorah.

 

"She said she felt sorry. Let's see if she means it." He smiles.

 

"You gonna make it quick, or are you feeling sadistic?" Miorah asks, Ihra glancing at Eve nervously.

Rema smirks.
"I like the way you think."

 

"Excuse me?" Eve asks, confused.

 

"You didn't hear? The queen ordered our execution. I hear you're good at killing, so I requested you be the one closing our books."

 

"Oh, alright. Do you...want to die? I'm not entirely sure if my current mission will permit me to hurt you though." Eve says.

 

Ihra shakes her head no, clearly panicking.
Miorah shrugs.
"Killing me won't do anything, but no we're obviously not too keen on dying."

 

He laughs.

 

"So, you don't want me to kill you?" Eve asks.
