Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Which it does.

 

You look ridiculous, but it does the job.
She's out now, though, and she's between you and your scythe. You'll have to either hope you can lure her out or try and rush down someone with daggers.

 

I try and lure her away from my scythe.

 

Easier said than done. You don't have anything else to throw at her, so the best you could hope for is to flee and see if she follows.

Unless you can think of anything better, of course...

 

He looks at her, waiting for her to land.

 

She does, rather close in front of you.
"I suppose everyone thinks I'm insane for how much I spread the fire, no?" She whispers.

 

"Probably, yes." He whispers back.

 

"Uh, nice to meet you!" Artemis says, shaking Miorah's hand.

 

I'll run to her entourage and take one of their swords.

 

"What would your name be? Emerald told me you were the king's girlfriend, but I didn't ask any other questions."

You narrowly avoid a flung dagger, but on the bright side, you've evened the playing field.
She steps back a bit and guards your scythe.

"Is it too late for an apology?"

 

"Artemis." Artemis says.

 

"Have you seen what happened to my friend?"
He points at Gram.

 

I assume I grabbed a sword. I'll charge at her with it.

 

"Named after the mythical archer, eh? From what I've heard about your skills with a bow, it's fitting."

She holds her ground, kicking your scythe further back.

"Yes... I did what I thought his kind did to my children. I was wrong, and now I'm left with a single child and guilt."

 

"I'm sorry.. what?"

 

"I try my best to live up to my name and ties to the Huntress...for my parent's sake." Artemis says, clutching her flower necklace.

 

"I gave life to creatures as well as the other guardians, but whenever I watched them, they were scorned for their differences. I kept quiet, but rage built up inside... until I did the terrible things I have done as of late."

Miorah smiles.
"Well, you've done a hell of a job so far."

 

"Thank you." Artemis says, appreciative.

 

"What differences?"

 

"Babying the dragon won't help, Devarra. I'll go with the company to help them make camp in the forest outside of the village. I'll see you later."

I turn to head to the barracks to pick up the company
