Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"So... you found your grandmother who knew the Ziz?"

 

"Well, she knew how to talk to her. So that probably means she knew about her."

 

"That sounds like witchcraft, with that stroke of luck." Gram chuckles.

 

"She lived for a while. She probably knew about the Ziz. Is it that weird?"

 

"Kinda. What, were you created instead of born?"

 

"No, I was born. The cursed my father carried got passed down to me after I was born. I believe that was what it was."

 

The guard looks confused, but stays where he is.


"Well, you can come with me. I'm Aj's girlfriend, so that means I have a little power here." Artemis says, smiling.

 

Ruby runs down to the city, a bit reckless as she doesn't bother to avoid bumping into people.


Ihra sighs, closes her eyes, then nods.
"...Alright. I'll go."

"So, you got cursed by the Ziz?"

 

"What? No!"
He looks confused at Gram.

 

Gram sighs.
"Nevermind... I give up. I think I just confused us both."

 

People try to avoid Ruby, though she ends up bumping into a few and knocking a guardian child down, causing them to cry.


Artemis offers a hand for Ihra to take, smiling.

 

"Yes. Yes you did."
He sighs.

 

"S-sorry!" She utters, stopping to help them up while trembling.


Ihra takes Artemis' hand, though her eyes are filled with fear.

Gram relaxes, letting his head hang down again.
"I don't snore, by the way. I wasn't asleep."

 

"Oh, I didn't know. You were just loud and I couldn't sleep."

 

"That's called being in pain, and it hurts." He snaps.

 

"I'm sorry, okay? Are you feeling any better than before?"

 

"M-Mummy!" The guardian child cries, an older guardian running over, presumably the child's mother.


Artemis walks toward the doors of the palace, before being stopped by the guards.

"She isn't allowed in the palace." The guard says, glaring at Ihra.

"What do you mean? She's a friend of the king and a friend of mine, and I'm the king's boyfriend!" Artemis says.

"You are still below the royalty and the king cannot permit her entry currently, so the queen's statement stands. She is not allowed in the palace, and shouldn't even be in the gardens currently." The guard says, still glaring at Ihra.

 

Ruby sighs, staying though hyperventilating.


Ihra glares back at the guard.
"I'll be back." She says, turning away. "And tell her that she better prep an apology for Xlentia, Gaia, and their advisors."

"I crash landed with a tree through my chest. There wasn't much good in that."
