"This isn't as easy as simply casting healing magic or a restorative spell. I'm the most powerful magic user in this reality, she'd be healed by now if that was the case. She needs time for her magic to restore, and charging her with it could just as easily kill her." Praecantatia explains.

 

As they begin to push me faster, I begin to feel faint again.

"You two better be careful with this bed, because I'm going to be unconscious in 20 seconds."

 

"Hopefully you can get that past her, then... Though I suggest you keep tabs on some of the most powerful magic users in my reality. Your daughter is a small fish in the ocean of this war."

"You were rushing us!"
"Do you want us to slow down or not?!"

"Yes, absolutely yes." Anne says, walking onto Gram's back and laying down.

 

"Sleep tight. I'll keep guard."

 

"Nobody wins wars." Praecantatia says, sighing.

 

She lets out a snore.

"It is still better to not lose."

 

He sits down next to Gram, keeping close the food and the water.
"Now. Let's wait."

 

Praecantatia just stays silent, shaking her head as she sits down again.

 

Gaia takes a moment.
"I'd like to apologize for my inconsideration of your personal beliefs. It's been a rough day, though that's no excuse."

Anne lets out another snore.

You gonna keep watch all night? You haven't slept in a while, I'm surprised you haven't just passed out yet.

 

"You can rest here if you've had a rough day. I don't think going back to your own reality will be as welcoming." Praecantatia says.

 

"It won't be, but that changes nothing. Thank you for your hospitality, and I hope you can forgive my brashness in time."

 

Praecantatia checks a watch she has strapped to her wrist.

"Excuse me." Praecantatia says, getting up and leaving the room.

 

Gaia turns to her counterpart.
"...I should work on my god-to-god communication skills."

 

Gaia shrugs, before nodding.

 

"Where to next?"

 

"Where do you want to go?" Gaia asks.

 

"Your call. Maybe a few other places your children often gather?"

 

Gaia thinks for a while.

"We could go to one of the oceans." Gaia suggests.

 

"That sounds nice." She nods.

 

"We should probably tell Praecantatia we're leaving." Gaia says.
