Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Be safe. Please."

 

Voidfiller holds open the portal until everyone is through.
"You too."
He addresses me and Crystal.
"Why us?"
"I need to do some cleanup here, and you both should get back."
I shrug, uncaring, and head through the portal, while Crystal thinks on it for a bit before heading through.

 

Tenebrae nods, before sinking into the floor and disappearing.

The Shadows get up, most looking nervous or surprised. A few Shadows start talking quietly about Tenebrae's spontaneous visit.

 

"...Is it rare to see your goddess in body?"

A few still don't go through, one taking a corpse with them.

Rema doesn't turn back, disappearing into the clouds above.

"...I really hope we didn't just send her to her death."

 

Voidfiller waits for them, patient.

 

"It's rare for her to even speak with us. Many Shadows can live for thousands of years and be killed without ever seeing or hearing from her." A Shadow responds.

 

"I hope not. I don't want the death of a family member on my name." He looks worried at Anne.

 

Minutes later, they finally leave.

"That would be bad."

Would that count as killing someone against your curse?

"Strange... For good reason, but strange."

 

"I don't think so.. It counts when I kill someone while in werewolf form, right?" He thinks.
He looks at the sky.

 

Voidfiller hops through himself, creating another portal from inside the portal room to Gaia's Palace, not interfering with Emerald's portal.

 

"It's quite strange to be in the presence of another Gaia." A forest guardian comments.

 

Right... That's a good point.

Can't see past the clouds.

"It's a bit humiliating to lay here as weakened as I am..."

There's now two portals to the palace.

 

Voidfiller keeps his up, letting people get through.

 

"Guess we wait and hope?"

 

"The elites the king sent are in much worse shape." One of the guards comments.

 

"...Again, my apologies."

"I think that's all we can do."

Minutes later, nothing seems to have changed and Anne seems a bit worried.

It takes quite a while, but the group finally makes it all the way through, though the dryad comes through last.

 

Voidfiller seems tired by the time everyone gets through, closing the portal.
"Well, nice job."
He says to the dryad."

 

"It's uh... taking a while."
He scratches his head.

 

"I'm surprised you aren't closer with Xlentia. You seem as greedy as a dragon." She comments.

"I haven't heard any thunder either."
