Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I think that means you'll need to come rescue me later..."

He takes off, going a bit slow.

"No, really..." Gaia sighs.

 

"We can try and open a portal for you to escape through." Aqui suggests.

 

"I can't move. If you can't get me out, at least get yourselves out..."

 

The elites exit, but a short while later a portal begins opening under Gaia, slowly growing, occasionally faltering a bit.

 

She starts slumping through the portal.
"...Where are you even dropping me?"

 

There's no reply, but Gaia can see a couple of thrones in a twilight room as the portal opens up a bit more to help Gaia through.

 

She eventually falls all the way through, landing hard, one half of her body scorched and partially melted.

 

The portal is quickly closed, a few guards taking Stephanie's totem away.

"We need medical assistance right now!" One of the guards shouts, noticing Gaia's state.

 

"A-are the others okay?"

A few fae escape from the portal, desperate as explosions fill Gaia's palace halls.

 

“It’s time for us to take our leave.”
Voidfiller says, urgent, opening a small portal.
“Let’s.”
“Wait, what about all the other guys like the workers?”
Crystal frantically looks around for them.

 

Gaia's servants are everywhere, quickly turning to corpses as draconians flood in.

 

“No time!”
Voidfiller says, dropping us through a portal, himself quickly following.
“But-”
“I’ll leave it open until a draconian comes through, once that happens, I’m closing it. No expections.”
Voidfiller says harshly, waiting and doing exactly that.

 

Seems the draconians heard that, a large group scrambling through before a fair number of corpses get dumped through.

 

Voidfiller keeps the portal open, closing it immediately if a draconian tries to get through.
The portal opens up to a nice, grassy plain. It’d be almost pleasant if the portal and the corpses weren’t there.

 

A dryad gets thrown in before a draconian blocks off the portal.

 

Voidfiller closes the portal, taking no chances.
“A’ight, that’s all. No more rescue missions for now.”

 

"...Who are you?" The dryad asks, getting up.

 

“My name’s Voidfiller, this is Crystal and Thirteen.”
He announces quickly.
“Hey.”
“I can introduce myself.”

 

"You just killed thousands."

 

“Do you wanna go back in there? If you want to, I can send you right back in, and you can round up everyone you want to, and you can all come marching right back to here, and it’ll all be hunky-dory.”
Voidfiller snaps, sarcastic.
“Is that what you want? Do you want to go back there?”
