Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Crystal rolls the ball back, standing up as the three of us get ready.

 

He continues running.

 

Ignia focuses her power, sending out a blast of blue flame that grants immunity to most high temperatures, and defense against extreme heats, before flying to the phoenix, fearless.

 

The fae scatter once the wall breaks.

Anne keeps following you, though after a while you hear her start to fall behind.

 

Crystal wraps around me, as Voidfiller and I tediously walk a bit closer to the door.

 

The phoenix lets loose a jet of purely white flame down the hall.

Gaia's door busts open, Gaia herself blocking most of the flame with her body.

It might not be a good idea to walk towards what seems to be a pure white flame...
Then, Gaia bursts out.

 

I take to the skies, making sure that Gaia is between me and the fire. Voidfiller rushes to safety as well.

 

Ignia flies through the flame unaffected, even drawing power from it.

 

The phoenix seems to have obsidian feathers, ignoring Ignia as she approaches.
It keeps breathing a jet of fire, Gaia doing her best not to falter or let the castle vaporize.

There seem to be vines trying to reach Gaia from the side rooms.

 

I hastily jet to the rooms, checking the sources of the vines.

 

Ignia tries to find the phoenix's eye.

 

All of Gaia's followers seem to be trying to lend her their bits of power.

It has two eyes where she'd expect it to, but the eyes are made of molten rock.
"G-get away..." Gaia reaches out to Ignia. "H-he's baiting y-you..."
The phoenix stops to take another breath, a red dot appearing on Ignia's forehead.

 

Ignia flips backwards before using the phoenix's breath to carry her back, the fire from her boots mixing with the phoenix's breath to send it back.

 

Crystal looks towards Voidfiller, and after a few seconds, the two start helping extend the vines.

 

The breath stopped, and Ignia is caught by the edge of an artillery blast (knocking her flight off-path and little else).

The flame stops, and the vines reach out to Gaia much faster, who is shaking with half of her outer body armor molten.

 

Voidfiller stops helping with the vines, ditching his armor and weapon (which state stagnant) and flying up to get a good look at the phoenix mouth without being in its path of fire.

 

Ignia takes a moment to re-adjust herself before flying back to the other elites, Tirra focusing her mind as she tries to flatten the phoenix into the ground with telekinesis.

 

It's made of obsidian, its body glowing white hot between obsidian feathers.

She winds up being overpowered in return, getting flung against a wall.
"D-don't try to overpower him... j-just hold on..." Gaia mutters, part of her molten body dripping off onto the castle.

 

Voidfiller focuses, trying to create a portal in front of its mouth, making the fire it breathes go through.

 

Victus and Aeris catch Tirra, Aeris slowing her down as Victus catches her in a pair of vine hands. Aqui freezes one of her water bubbles and shatters it into Aeris' tornado, Aeris sending the tornado toward the phoenix, rocks, ice and icy rocks swirling around it.
