Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I can't stop a fire this big."

 

Tirra creates a few larger rocky clones of herself to assist her as she draws her blade. Victus nocks a few arrows, and Mortimer stands ready with his scythe. Aqui floods the area around her, bubbles filled with water rising up from the floor.

 

"...Not like I can, either."

With a loud crash, there's a crack visible in the door.

...Still nothing.

 

"You have fire magic, right?"

 

"Yeah."

 

Tirra creates another clone of herself which she crumbles and throws toward Aeris' tornado, Ignia adding a jet of fire to the tornado too.

 

Another crash, another crack.

Light's starting to peek through...

 

Aqui sends a jet of water outwards toward the door, freezing it into slippery ice. Victus grows what seem to be just small leaves that peek out from the ground in numerous areas near to the door, as well as a large grove of mushrooms. The mushrooms passively release spores that cause anyone that breathes them in to feel sleepy.

 

"Elder, with all due respect, if you would have allowed us to establish a force here, this could have been avoided."

I hold the staff more forcefully

 

"I told you, that was not a decision only I could make."

A few fae peek out from the side as another strike hits, the crystalline wall slightly cracked.

 

"I understand, I'm just thinking out loud."

My finger slowly approaches the switch on the side of the staff

 

I stand up, cracking a small orb in my hand. Soon enough, a large armored figure comes through a portal, Crystal by their side.

 

Solis steps back, wary.
"...What are you doing?"

More flutter around the figure and Crystal, curious.

 

"Can't you just control the fire, like you did last time?"

 

Crystal smiles at them, clearly worried about the door. The figure, however, slowly makes what appears to be a buzzsaw on a thick staff, looking over it.

 

Something pushes the fae back, a sense of psychic energy around them.

 

"I can't control fires I didn't start!"

Curious, a few try to draw closer.

The fae scatter, except for a few near Crystal.

 

"Nothing too rash, Solis. I trust you'll understand."

I bring the staff around to strike the gryphon in the legs

 

He jumps it before blasting you backwards out the door with a strong gust of wind.

"What's gotten into you?!"

 

Crystal seems to like the fae around him, as the figure tests out the weapon, making sure it works by buzzing it and pulling on the end, making some metal pop out and grab in front of the saw.
