Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What are you doing?" I ask, confused.


The elites scatter, Aeris taking to the air to get out of the way.

 

Gaia stomps, a giant crystalline castle forming where the small fortress once stood.
"...If you want a fort that badly, you may as well make sure it's worthy of your king."

 

"The fort wasn't for the king, it was for Stephanie," Tirra says, pointing to Stephanie as she walks through the portal, "She possesses a totem that nullifies the control of the Hive Master."

 

"I'm aware. That wasn't the point."

 

"What was the point?" Aeris asks, landing.

 

"If you want to protect something, protect it with the best materials available. I'll reinforce it if Tirra can dent it."

 

Tirra charges the castle, solid rock gathering around her arms before she punches the castle with extreme force.

 

A small scratch and a scuff mark.
"...That is likely to protect the totem well."

 

Stephanie walks over to the castle, looking for the entrance.

 

The only entrance is in the back, or from a tower.

 

Stephanie enters through the back, summoning her totem and starting to charge it, additional crystals now attached to a tougher exterior. Stephanie summons a few more large crystals to aid with charging and power.

 

"Who did it? Was it the Genesians?"

I get my staff from off my back

 

Twenty minutes in, no signs of the seige.

"Yes..." He growls.

 

Stephanie keeps charging her totem, though it's already mostly charged.

 

It's still quiet, Gaia turning towards her chambers.
"The ground quakes in their arrival..." She mutters.

 

Tirra tries to sense for vibrations in the ground.

 

There are many.

"...You know how to handle yourselves, no?" Gaia asks, about to close her chamber doors.

 

"Oh no..."
He looks at the fire, scared.
"What do we do?!"

 

"We can." Ignia says, fire beginning to swirl around her as Aeris grows a tornado.

 

Anne opens her mouth but says nothing.

Gaia's chamber doors slam shut.
