Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Went out to free her."
I say, drawing out and looking over my hammer.
"Did that properly, luckily."

 

"But how'd you find her? She always stays in her home."

 

"A friend made a portal to the Void Palace, so some other friends and I nearly had to siege the place. That's overstating the encounter, but it didn't go without death."

 

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. But, uhm... you must have some really strong friends, then."

 

“Yeah, they’re so strong, their deaths didn’t leave them dead. You start hanging out with these people who can’t die and it almost gets to your head.”
I say, oddly lightheartedly.

 

"I-I guess... are they necromancers?"

 

“Well, some are guardians, some are demons, and some are I-still-don’t-know-what, so if you want to call it necromancy, I haven’t got a better answer.”

 

"...D-demons? B-but... uhm... guardians sound nice..."

 

“The demons aren’t that bad, provided that you stay behind or below them, psychically and metaphorically. I wouldn’t say they’re the best people, but they’re pretty good at helping.”

 

"Y-yes they are, they're demons!"

 

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. We should check if his neighbor is back."

 

"North, outwards." The guard says.

 

"I hope he'll be okay. I really don't want something that hunts dragons to come over here."

Ihra nods, offering the guard a pink crystal.
"I'll go chase after her, but that's to save time on the way back. I kind of need her alive for... you know, familial reunions. Once she gets her head back, and her sisters stop being... well, cursed."

 

The guard takes the crystal, nodding.

 

"Cool. By the way, could you give my regards to the queen? Rumor has it she gives good hugs." Ihra says before blinking off without waiting for an answer.

 

"Let's go then. Climb aboard."

 

The guard shrugs, heading toward the throne room.

 

“Well, now’s not the time to turn down help, so I’m stuck with them whether it seems like a good idea or not.”

 

The faerie hesitates.
"I-I guess..."

After getting through the town, Ihra heads towards the forest, following impressions in the ground left by Amethyst knocking her tail.

She hops up onto your shoulder, giggling.
"Just be careful going down into the valley, the ground's a bit slippery from the bit of rain."

 

"Got it."
He starts heading into the forest and towards Siln's cave.
