Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

His chamber doors are closed, but he doesn't sound busy.

You duck one, tripping another.

Other thieves start coming into the armory, some of them with throwing stars, others chakram.
You narrowly avoid getting a dagger dropped on you.

 

I try to swing my mace at any remaining guards.

"Watch where you're throwing those!"

If there are no remaining guards, I grab a shield.

 

"Yeah yeah."
He grabs an arrow and tightens his bow.

 

He forces a telepathic link.
"Why?"

 

I knock on the doors

"Davarra? Are you in?"

 

"Who the hell are you!?" The dark faerie, presumably Kia, snaps.

"Kia? KIA!" The nervous faerie shouts once she sees Kia trapped in stasis, flying over to her and dropping the coin in the process; the coin bouncing off the side of the seating area and into the main arena, clinking.

 

You splatter the last two along the wall.

You now have a shield that feels really light.
"Sorry!"

"Don't shoot me, either."

"Yes, Aradius. What do you want?"

"A robot, built to kill."

Peridot uncloaks, holding Kia's stasis orb in a metallic hand.

 

"So what, you're going to kill me?" Kia asks.

The nervous faerie stops in her path, petrified.

 

"Probably not."
The sphere shrinks until Kia can't move much.
"...but maybe.

 

"I know. I'm not an idiot."
He aims at a tree and fires the arrow.

 

It flies straight, getting stuck in the tree.
Anne giggles.

 

I open the door.

"I need you to trace a magic source. Can you help me?"

 

I grab another 8 shields and distribute them to the other BM members.
"Grab your weapons and armor, quickly! Before the next guards come! Search for more gear as well!"

 

"Sel, get out of here! Quickly!" Kia shouts to the nervous faerie, who seems hesitant.

"GO!" Kia shouts. The nervous faerie, presumably Sel, tries to fly away.

 

"Sure, but if it's too far of a trace, I'll need your crystal ball."

Peridot blocks Sel's escape with a barrier.
"...If you need money, why not ask someone with money directly?"

"On it."
"We'll get armor ready."
"Cover the main entry, Leon." N shouts, grabbing more throwing knives.

 

"Nice."
He retrieves the arrow from the tree.

 

Sel struggles, scared.

"What's so wrong about us just scavenging around for stuff people have lost?" Kia asks.

 

It's difficult, and you wind up ripping the arrow in half trying to get it out.

"Nothing. I'm just curious why one of you is so used to it and the other is terrified of it." Peridot says, releasing Kia.

 

I combat roll to the main entry and wait behind a corner.

 

You're rolling for fun at this point.
You can see two more guards running towards the entry, but they don't seem to see you.
They're also a fair ways out, still. You'd have enough time to close and lock the door, at this rate.
