Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The moon appears to be just beginning to set.

 

"Yeah, it's mostly destroyed. If it falls, then artillery's going off inside."

Peridot waits, idling.

 

“Crystal?”
“Yeah, I can help with that.”
“How bad are the wounded?”

 

Nobody shows up apart from a few teenage Shadows, sneaking into the colloseum.

 

"Oh okay."
He takes it and places it on his back.
"Well.. good day."
He starts heading out.

 

"Varying. Some have been gutted and we're trying to numb them, others have lost a limb or two. Others just have a hole punched through them."

The clerk waves.

Peridot glances at them, mostly unattentive.

 

The teenagers split up and leave after they see Peridot, scared.

 

"Okay. Maybe I could practice a bit with this bow. Depends if they have a shooting range or something in this town."

 

“Inside out sounds better, we do not want to alert the guards before we get the weapons to be able to neutralize the majority of them. We need to get the weapons stealthily and break the stealth by giving our all to escape.”

 

He keeps waiting, scanning the arena as he waits.

"Then... you could punch a hole in the wall and we'll be fighting our way out with weapons ready for war."

The sports arena. Archery is a sport.

You don't like the prospect of the crowds, though.

 

"Maybe I'll just shoot some arrows in the forest."
He heads towards the gate.

 

“Do you think the power of my voice would be able to blast a wall open?”

 

The colloseum is empty, apart from a few rodents and scavenger animals.

 

"...Could you just hit it with your mace?"

Peridot extends his scan outward, bored.

The guards from earlier wave as they get off their shift.
"Nice bow!"

 

"Thanks."
He shows it off a little before he heads out the gate.

 

Peridot finds a few more animals, and a trace of a person passing near the colloseum occasionally, but not much else.

 

The guard smiles before turning away and leaving.

Anne is sitting outside of the gate.

He lets himself fall idle.

 

A bird eventually lands on Peridot, hopping about a bit before chirping.

 

"Alright."

I thrust my mace into the wall.
