"Any words about the gas?"
"Yeah, we'll use it if Leon will look past it."
"Whaddaya say? Is a couple sick residents worth cutting off reinforcements?"

 

"What do you mean by that?"

 

I eat the loaf of bread while preparing myself for more visions

I stop by Xlentia's chambers, walking inside.

 

"Oh, we found a store of an illegal toxic gas the tyrant used to cripple our guard. I figure that it'll work just as well on them as it did us."
"You better believe we swiped it."
"Of course, we're holding you to... overlooking our methods once you get on the throne."

It's a bit cold now, but it's still soft. You've had better bread, but it doesn't taste bad by any means. Just... a little light on flavor.

You fill up after downing half of the loaf.

There's a knock on your chamber door.
"Aradius, is now a bad time?" Wesley asks.

Xlentia's laying belly-up, bouncing a ball of energy around with her feet.

 

"Hey."
I say, knocking on the side of door.

 

She looks over, the ball releasing a violent beam as it hits the ground.
"Hi, little robot. How are you?"

 

"Doing well. How have you been, I haven't come to visit in a bit."

 

"Oh, fine. It's kind of sad not being able to talk to anyone, but I'm okay." She says, rolling over on her side.

 

"Anything new?"
I ask, walking up more.
"I heard about some stuff with Gaia."

 

"Oh, the group of little mortals with the happy one went and helped stop a siege on Gaia's palace. There's a portal to her palace now, because some little dial on the portal room. Emerald says it was always there and just didn't get used when my palace was isolated."

 

"Good to know. I might go there. And, 'happy one'? Do you mean Crystal?"

 

"No, but that little sweetheart did go over for a bit... I think."

 

"Then who's the 'happy one'?"

 

"You know, the one that's always happy and loves flowers. Like, always happy and sleeps a lot."

 

"Oh, Ihra, right. I'm glad she's back."

 

"Wesley, I'm about to have another vision. Please make it quick."

 

"I'm sorry, it isn't particularly important. Would you mind me entering when you are done?"

"Yeah, she makes me happy. It's a nice change of pace from wondering why there's a hole in your heart."

 

"I want the least possible bloodshed. That is all."
