Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Heh... whatever works for you."

It's definitely not built to code, but it functions as a house. It keeps the rain out, and a few rags and changes of clothes are visible scattered about.

 

"Does your family live here too, or is this a different house?"

 

"It's alright. Thank you for your service."

I step into the throne room

 

"No, they live elsewhere. I can't be seen with them."

They bow, closing the door behind you.

King Cyrus seems weary, but makes eye contact.
"Good afternoon, Aradius. I hope your day has fared better than mine thus far..." He sighs.

 

"It has gone well, your Majesty. Why do you call me to your service today?"

 

"I wanted to warn you that the Levalin king has prematurely declared war on us and Nerim. I could've gotten the word to you sooner, but I hoped to relay it personally so it lost none of its dire impact."

 

"That is alright. What should I do now?"

 

"I understand, majesty. It seems as though war has finally begin to set in on us all. Just today, I found out that Geneson has expanded it's borders all the way up to the nearby Galer village, and to Master Solis himself. I fear we all may be in grave danger."

 

"I can't say for sure, but I'd try to lay low and act like you're a visitor trying to start a new life. You wouldn't have much left to rule if the tyrant found out that you were the old king and burned this place to the ground."

"Threatening a Galer elder is a new low for them... I'll see if we have spare guards to watch over his village. Have you heard from any other elders?"

 

"Very true. Where would we be able to access better equipment, such as high quality armor and weapons? A tyrant will not play fairly, so neither will we. We will build an arsenal, an underground army.."

 

Nore smiles.
"I'll make you a once in a lifetime offer if you promise not to rat us out once you get your throne back."

 

"Think that would be enough?"

 

"The frame still looks good, so you could probably trade it out and have it cost nothing. A good crossbow goes for more than a flatbow, anyways... I just wouldn't recommend a crossbow for hunting."

 

"Cool. Guess I'll do that then, if it is not to late."

 

"Sounds like you've found yourself a rock solid community then." I say.

 

"Not yet. Only elder Solis has reached out to me, and he didn't speak of other elders."

 

Alice sighs.
"...Is it legal to slap you for that one?"

"I will see if I can arrange a meeting with a few of the other elders. For now, I would only concern yourself with your visions and your own tribe."

"They're open for another few hours."
"I'll walk you down there if you'd like." The other guard offers.

 

"Yes, for you." Artemis says.

Artemis slaps me.

"Ow, Artemis!" I say, hurt.

 

Alice laughs.
"Thanks, Artemis. Well, I'll be heading home. Aj, next time you see an artillery shell, try not to take it in the face, okay?" She asks, opening a portal.

 

"If I can see it..." I say, slightly annoyed.
