Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Hey easy, easy. I don't want any trouble."

 

"Neither do we, but we've never seen you around before. Plus, a few of our people went out the way you came from and they never came back. Call me superstitious, but I'm not liking the possible implications if we let you in."

 

"Well you know what, how about I just SMOKE BOMB!"
I don't actually have a smoke bomb, but I make them think that I actually used a smoke bomb and that I vanished. And while they're confused and choking on the no-existent smoke, I'll go hide in the trees.

 

Startled, they fumble their weapons and try to hold their breath, soon leaving the gate vacant as they look for you.
The archers take a few shots at you, but they're all far off.

 

“You just want the best for your family. Don’t you?”

 

I'll rush in and hide behind a building wait for the heat to die off.

 

"That's what any caring father wants, I'd assume. Most just don't have the misfortune of being related to the tyrant." He mumbles, annoyed. "My relation made me unhireable, since everyone thought I was a spy. I just made ends meet the only way I saw I could."

You find a tool shed that's suitable for hiding in, but you might be a while.
Alternatively, you can head inside someone's house and hopefully nobody's actually home.

 

"You can't die from age." I say flatly.

 

"What, so I'm supposed to slave over stuff for all eternity?" Alice scoffs.

 

"Up to you, I'm king until I'm killed or just don't want to be anymore." I shrug.

 

"What if I wanted to retire?"

 

"If you really wanted to, but then you'd have a jobless eternity." I say, shrugging.

 

"Well, maybe right now I want to just relax at my home on Earth making tea and helping faeries. That doesn't mean I'll never consider going back to the agency." Alice shrugs.

 

"That sounds lovely." Artemis comments, smiling.

 

"That's why I'm trying out retirement... Because I get to do that and it's really nice as long as you're not trying to chase shadowphobes around."

 

"Guardians are mostly chill, so you could just hang out with them." I say, shrugging.

"I thought you were on neutral ground with us?" Artemis asks.

"Good enough." I say, shrugging again.

 

"The mayor's an earth guardian." Alice shrugs.

 

"We will prevail. What should I call you, friend?"

 

"Some call me thief, others call me turncoat. My family calls me Nore."

 

"I will call you 'N'."

I walk inside the building.
