Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, good." The air guardian says.

 

"Sorry to scare you. Me and some of my kind are taking refuge in Earth to get away from the brutality. Things are so bad... one of my sisters is cursed to live headless." Ruby sighs.

 

"That's...kind of disgusting." The air guardian says.

 

"Yeah, it's bad." Ruby says.
"...Oh. I'm sorry I told you that. There are still nice things... I could give you a library card to visit my sister's library. You know, if books are your thing. As an apology."

 

"It's fine." The air guardian shrugs.

 

"Well..."
Ruby hands them a blank green card.
"Give it to someone who likes to read. Tell them that it leads to a draconic library."

 

The air guardian looks at the card before putting it in his pocket.

 

It seems to be for opening a portal.
"If you could ask around about anyone interested in the chakram, that'd be great. I can only go so far at my age."

 

"Sure, will do." The air guardian says.

 

"Thanks. Have a nice day, sorry to trouble you." Ruby says, sitting down and taking in the view.

 

"No problem." The air guardian says, flying off.

 

Ruby teleports back to the shop, heading to her room with a troubled look.

 

Vexa seems to be working in the back, not hearing Ruby.

 

Ruby lies on her bed.

"...Abigail, would you remember me as a friend if I just gave up and handed you over to your other friends?" She thinks.

 

"But wouldn't you die?" Abigail asks.

 

"Yeah, but I feel guilty just... holding you hostage for my own sake. I realized that I wanted to make your friends like and then ask them to free both of us, but... doesn't that just mean I would be holding you prisoner for longer?" Ruby thinks, clearly a bit depressed. "That isn't what a friend would do, is it?"

 

"Thank you."
He plucks the flower, eats it and then wakes up I believe.

 

You wake up, but it's still dark outside.

 

"Well...as my friend, I don't want you to kill yourself to save me when there's an alternative that can save both of us." Abigail says.

 

“All right, you can stay there.”
Crystal says, staying still.
“Can you answer my question, though?”
