Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Where's your shop?" The air guardian asks.

Onyx's ears prick up as she looks over, before she rapidly drops the controller and runs down the stairs in the game room, terrified.

 

Ruby points towards the forge.

 

"Oh, Vexa's place? She's a real nice smith, really honed her craft. How's she doing these days?" The air guardian asks.

 

“Hey!”
Crystal says, concerned, as he slowly follows Onyx.
“It’s okay, I won’t hurt you.”

 

Onyx hides behind one of the arcade cabinets, scared, her tail peeking out from behind it.

 

"Pretty good, but she wants to be my apprentice after I showed her a blade I forged that could easily cut through a shield she made with no effort at all." Ruby sighs. "I just... don't know if I'll live long enough for that."

 

"How old are you? Don't fire guardian types live on average three hundred years?" The air guardian asks.

 

“Onyx, come on, I just want to ask you something.”
Crystal shifts into a puddle, slinking towards Onyx.

 

"I'm pushing my first million years. I'm not a fire guardian, but a fire guardian is keeping me alive."

 

"Anyway. I think I should get going Sgavrinn."
Het gets up.

 

Onyx stays hidden, unaware of Crystal's approach.

"What are you then? Some kind of pureblood forest guardian with a gift from Gaia?" The air guardian asks.

 

He nods, nuzzling you before growing one of the poison flowers.

"A draconian."

 

"Never heard of your kind before. Were you hunted with the dragons?" The air guardian asks.

 

"No, I'm not of this world."

 

"Oh. Well that's different." The air guardian says, surprised.

 

"Our two realms have been connected... it's strange to think about, but my home has its own set of high gods. Like, our own version of Gaia and Tenebrae and such."

 

"I'm unsure how to feel about my realm being connected to yours. Did a cult do this?" The air guardian inquires.

 

"No. In fact, it was a freak accident. A few heroes have since helped us fight a brutal war... one corrupted mind is attempting to enslave everything, including the high gods. Our Gaia is under seige, and a handful of guardians along with the king of shadows has helped the fight to end the spread of the hive mind."

 

"It can't come here, can it?" The air guardian asks, scared.

 

"No. Some nice people have offered shelter for the wounded here, since the mind control is ineffective here."
