Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ruby goes over and gently holds Katie's hand.

"Not today. I got shot a couple times yesterday... I could go for a bit more recovery."

 

There appear to be shelves stacked high with hundreds of games for each different console.

Katie feels cold, though not like death.

 

Crystal looks around for any arcade machines.

 

Ruby shares the sense of touch.
"...Does this bring back any memories?" She thinks.

 

There appear to be a few large arcade machines down a staircase leading to the huge screen.

"Y-Yes, it does." Abigail says.

 

Crystal looks for one labeled “Mappy”.

 

There don't appear to be any machines with 'Mappy' labeled on them, though there appears to be pair called 'Man-Pac' and 'Woman-Pac' respectively.

 

"So you DID get injured!"

 

He looks at the one labeled Man-Pac, curious.

 

Ruby holds Katie's hand a little longer before doing the same with Stephanie.

"Well... yes. A few archers took a couple of shots at me. I don't have many scales left to block arrows anymore." Rema admits.

 

There appears to be a yellow circular shaped character with a pizza slice-esce mouth avoiding colourful ghosts and eating white pellets in a demo.

"I-Is this Stephanie's?" Abigail asks.

 

"Yes, this is Stephanie."

 

"I miss her too." Abigail says sadly.

 

"Don't they.. grow back?" He asks a bit worried.

 

"Well... not when you keep losing them." Rema sighs. "Scars stop them from growing back."

"I could see about finding the others."
Pause.
"Sorry to make you sad, I wanted you to see your friends again."

 

Crystal shifts downwards, looking for a coin slot.

 

"I-It's fine..." Abigail says.

There's a metal-rimmed coin slot and a coin return, a silver coin sitting in the return.

 

Ruby looks around for the others, particularly looking for Artemis and you.

 

Crystal takes the coin, looking it over before putting it in the slot, and toying with the joystick.

 

"I suppose you can't help it. You don't have a good reputation to say the least."
