Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

There seems to be movement, before something runs down one of the other tunnels; just out of view.

The entire tunnel feels rather damp, and water occasionally drips from the ceiling.

 

The vine crumbles into ashes. You realize that a whip made of water is about to hit you.

 

"I didn't mean to be like that! I'll finish answering your questions if you want!" She shouts, continuing down the tunnel.

 

Thick sheets of ice start to block the way through the tunnel, Katie can be seen through them; forming more with a worried look. Noticing Ihra, she turns and runs.

 

"Wait! I'm sorry!" Ihra shouts, trying to run after Katie.
"At least tell me what the note said, I can't read your language!"

 

Katie forms an ice surfboard and surfs through the tunnel, in order to progress faster. A small white crystal is left at the end of the line of ice sheets; it seems to glow.

 

Ihra stops at the crystal, somewhat entranced by its glow.

 

"I said I'm sorry alright! I thought that would've stopped your murderous intentions toward me!" Katie's voice echoes desperately. The sound of the rushing water of Katie's wave begins to fade as she gets further through the tunnel.

 

"What? Why would I want to kill you?! I came here to apologize! I don't know what I did to scare you, but I'm sorry!"

 

The sound of the wave gets even more distant, and Katie seems to be too far to hear.

The tunnel seems to split a little further on; one path contains the sound of rushing water, while the other contains the sound of hurried footsteps.

 

Ihra follows the footsteps.
"Waiiit!!" Ihra shrieks desparately.

 

The tunnel gets colder and colder as Ihra progresses; ice begins to form on the walls.

A loud splash is heard up ahead, and the tunnel reveals an underwater continuation. Bioluminescent fish swim about in the water.

 

Ihra puts her head underwater, but doesn't go in.
"I'm sorry, okay?! It's... it's... colder than I..."
Her voice trails off, albeit telepathically.

 

An octopus suddenly swims past Ihra's face, shining with light. The tunnel seems to only go down, and it almost looks like Katie resides at the bottom of it, looking up; her fish-tail present once more, and her eyes glowing a light blue.

 

Ihra looks at Katie sadly, waving.
"I don't want to hurt you. Please..."
Ihra tries to swim down, but it's obvious she doesn't really know how.

 

Katie jams her trident into the end of the watery tunnel desperately, yet she can't seem to break through any more rock. Katie turns to Ihra, a terrified look on her face.

The fish begin to band together, creating a somewhat blinding light. A sharp toothed angler fish swims up to Ihra's face.

 

"No, I was upstairs at the time."

 

I start dropping, making sure to put the sword up in a guard at the whip.
I then start blasting off horizontally.

 

"I cannot attempt to fight back against fate. I would have once. Now? No, there is only ruin."

OOC: Arnold and Tirai are talking right now, the fight just sort of ended a while ago.

 

The whip starts to chase after you. Another water whip forms.
