"Hey, if you want to see how I work later, I got my staff back."
Ruby checks the number of charges in the crystal.

 

It's beyond it's maximum of fifty, up to sixty somehow.

"Excellent. The delivery should be here in a few hours." Vexa says happily.

 

"Do you have an open space? I'm worried that I might melt the forge if I do this inside."

 

"You could try it atop the volcano if you wanted." Vexa suggests.

 

"Sure... if you can, like, help me tote up a hundred and forty ingots, then I could make whatever you want. Lance, bow, scythe... whatever you want."

"Hey, Abigail? After we get you back to being yourself, would you teach me how to work with wiring and such?" Ruby thinks.

 

"That's...a lot of material." Vexa says.

"U-Uhm, ok. I don't know how to work with wiring though. Or I don't remember, at least." Abigail says.

 

"I know... remember, that shortsword took 120."

"Oh... I remember you having tech-modified gauntlets. Maybe you'll memory will come all the way back when you're back to being all of you?"

 

"I'll see what I can do." Vexa says.

"Something about one of my friends...Stephanie. I think she might know about getting me back to normal." Abigail says.

 

"Well... I'm going to risk heading over to the Shadow Realm, if you'll let me leave."

"I'll go look into that."

 

"Be careful, I don't want you getting hurt." Vexa says.

 

"I'll do what I can." Ruby says, trying to warp to the Realm of Shadows.

 

Ruby manages to, arriving outside the palace gates.

 

She heads up towards the palace gates again, a bit less nervous than before.
"Hey, did the king ever get back from battle?"

 

"Yes, he's currently in the medical ward." The guard says.

 

"Like I said, I don't have any idea how to fix it at the moment."

 

Ruby pauses.
"...He's what? What about the queen? Katie?" She asks, concerned as she lets Abigail listen in.

"Again, if you ever get an idea, let me know. If you had something now, I figure we wouldn't just be sitting around here."

 

"Got it."
He sits down and thinks...

 

All you can think about is that you're hungry and there's food in front of you.

 

"Yeah I got no idea."
He grabs a rabbit and eats it.

 

Anne chuckles, taking a bit of the last rabbit and eating it as well.

"Gotta start somewhere." Rema sighs.
