"I'm getting a new delivery of them this afternoon actually, so you can make it then if you'd like." Vexa says.

 

Crystal doesn’t seem to have any further comment.

Crystal’s still near where he got back into the palace via Aj’s portal.

 

Shadow Stephanie walks over to Crystal.

"Heya slugger, how are you holding up?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

“Fine.”
Crystal says, clearly not fine.

 

"Has cold blooded murder got you feeling a little down?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Kinda got a 'special treatment' from that Ziz then. Why is she like that?"

 

“Less the murder part and more just... how they died.”

 

"How did you kill them?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

“Well, I just wanted to choke them, because I had the opportunity at the time... but they were spouting blood before and after I started choking them. So it was... not as nice as I thought choking them would turn out.”

 

"Well...choking is a pretty time consuming way of killing someone. There's no good way to go about it because they'll start writhing around as an instinct as they try to breathe, and if they've already spouting blood that's just going to get everywhere," Shadow Stephanie says, "Nonetheless, there's no 'nice' way of killing someone. Choking is satisfying if you're filled with hate, but there are more...kind ways of killing someone, like stopping their heart or shooting them through the head."

 

“But with choking you don’t have to kill the person, you can just make sure they’re down. It kind of feels bad to kill mind-controlled people.”

 

"Okay... I can give it a shot. I'll pop over to the seer's tent in a moment."

"It's only worse when you see them return halfway through the pain." Linoa adds.

"Just angry. She got in a fight with the guardian of the lands. It's been a mess ever since."

 

“Yeah.”
He says, offput.

 

"I see. And there is nothing we can do about it?"

 

"Nothing that I can think of, no. If you get any ideas, I'm sure there are many families who would hear you out."

 

"Well, think of it this way: they're mind controlled, which means they can't feel a thing." Shadow Stephanie says.

"Alright." Vexa says.

 

"And who's this earth guardian she's passed at."

 

"No."
Crystal says, looking towards the ground.
"No, they felt that."

 

"The Behemoth. Stubborn, and a bit stronger than the Ziz. She's probably trying to get at him for going against her word."

Ruby heads outside and glances around before going to the seer's tent.
"You think we could go ask Vexa to check out the situation in the Shadow Realm again?" Ruby thinks.

 

"They have problems like this often?"
