"...I still worry about them."


"You could always ask Emerald."

 

"Perhaps the greatest friend of Abigail may be the easiest step toward their trust." The old woman says.


"Would she know where Abigail is?" Katie asks, surprised.

 

"...Katie."


"If anyone knows, it's her. She's like a walking library." Ihra shrugs.

 

The old woman nods, an image of Katie appearing in her crystal ball.


Katie smiles, cheering up.

 

"...She's coming, isn't she?"


"We're in her library... why not go ask now?"

 

"Not today, but soon." The old woman says.


"Shouldn't we keep up with the others? We need to save Gaia after all." Katie says, increasing her pace a little.

 

"Okay, good... gives me some time to work." Ruby sighs.


"Right... just don't forget to ask her."

 

"Shall I charge your staff for you, then?" The old woman asks.


"I won't!" Katie says happily.

The group heads to Xlentia's chambers, Artemis looking for Xlentia.

 

"Yes, please. I feel a bit threatened without it, though."


Xlentia's laying down, her chamber absolutely torn up with bits of gold chewed up and spat out everywhere.

 

"Here, you can borrow this." The old woman says, offering a comparatively much weaker staff in exchange.


"Xlentia, are you alright?" Artemis asks, worried.

 

"Yep." He awkwardly smiles.
"Sorry.."

 

"How much to borrow it?" Ruby asks, hesitating.


"Just got nibbled on by Tenebrae and shot at by Lux. Normal day in the life." She shrugs. "So, what's going on with you?"

"I'll go tell them, then." Anne says, running off.

 

"Free, but you'll need to give it back if you want your staff back." The old woman says, smiling.


"We were going to go fight to free Gaia, if you could take us to her." Artemis says.

 

Ruby smiles.
"Deal."


"Yeah, I mean... I dunno if we're too late. I'll have to smash you a clearing, but I could get you there. Probably. Any preferences?"

 

The old woman takes Ruby's staff and gives her the weaker one.


"Somewhere we'll attract attention." Stephanie says.

 

She smiles.
"Thank you... how many charges in this one? I like to have a reference."


"Anywhere I make an entrance will attract attention. The question is, how many projectiles do you want to dodge?"

 

"About four, in your terms of charges." The old woman says.


"Quite a few. I need to set up a totem to charge and hopefully disable the mind control." Stephanie explains.

 

"Okay, thank you. That's enough to save coin I don't have on meals." Ruby sighs, turning to leave.


"Let me rephrase... how hard do you want to be collapsed on? Every unit she has is surrounded."

 

The old woman gets to charging Ruby's staff, letting her leave.


"Just pick a location, we'll manage." I say.

 

Ruby leaves, taking a stroll around town.


"I'll try to find somewhere that isn't getting hit by Hunters."
