Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Nature sounds nice."


"I'll try... my staff needs recharged, though. You wouldn't by chance know anyone who can recharge mage crystals, would you?"

"Also... do you know if people on Earth know much about draconians existing? If not, I might play the 'I'm old as dirt' card."

"I mean, like, with soap and stuff. So you can smell nice for our wedding, not just smell."

 

"Well, follow me." I say happily, heading out of the throne room.


"There's a magic shop just down the road from here which should be able to recharge your staff, though I don't know about the knowledge of draconians." The shopkeeper says.

 

"Oh, well, if you have any."
He continues washing himself.

 

Ihra follows you, still a bit shaken.


"Great, then I'm going to use the 'I'm old as dirt' card on you." Ruby sighs. "You know how I said I was a few hundred out of practice?"


"Abigail, we might go take a detour down the street. I need my staff charged, or you'll be doing most of the work here for me."

"No, but we can buy some. I have money."

 

I head through the palace to a large greenhouse-esce area filled entirely with plants and trees, forest guardians roaming about and tending to the plants.


"Yes...?" The shopkeeper asks.


"Ok..." Abigail says, submissive.

 

"Well get that later then. We still need to select a date."

 

Ihra looks at any flowering plants, starting to calm down.


"I omitted the word 'millennia' from that statement."


"I mean... you're doing most of it right now. That won't change unless I get my staff recharged, so... just trying to let you know what's going on."

"Oh... right. Do you even know what day it is today?"

 

Multicoloured flowers appear to be everywhere on the ground, a pair of huge open flowers at the far end of the area.


"Are you some kind of demigod then?" The shopkeeper asks, surprised.

 

"Uhh.. sunday or something? Atleast it's the first day of a new month."

 

Ihra heads over to the huge flowers, looking at them curiously.


"In a sense, yes. However, I believe that's a story for after."
Pause.
"Ah, and I suppose the magic shop has a pretty price on recharging a pure mage crystal... I'll need to work a while before considering showing you some of the things I've made ages ago."

"Sunday, yes. New month... maybe? I don't even keep track of months anymore..."

 

"Well.. yesterday was the full moon, so it's a new month."
He gets out of the water.
"Stand back."
He shakes off the water.

 

"Oh, right..."
She runs back quite a ways.
"You done?" She calls.

 

The flowers have large green petals with a soft-looking yellow centre.

"You can meditate in one of the flowers if you want." One of the forest guardians says happily.


"I guess the Shadows wouldn't send just anyone..." The shopkeeper mutters.

 

"Hang on"
He shakes his body one more time.
"Okay. I think I'm done. The sun will dry me up."

 

"Not now, thanks. Just looking around." Ihra says, continuing to look for any flowers that stand out in particular.


"Now now, there's enough attitude getting flipped around with me in the room in the first place. Mind telling me your name?" Ruby chuckles.

She pads back up near you.
"You know, you never tried putting a drop of water on me. Can you just not do that?"

 

"I won't if it hurts you." He calmly says.

 

"Good, because it hurts!" She pouts.

 

"Yeah yeah. You told me before."
He looks at the ocean.
"Have you seen the Leviathan yet?"

 

There appears to be a small patch of black and white flowers, emitting darkness and light respectively.


"Vexa." Vexa says.

 

"I told him to surprise you." Anne says. "He should be coming any moment."
