Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The dog appears to be a german shepherd, though it seems to lack any eyes or a collar containing a nametag. The dog lays down and rolls over onto it's back, wanting bellyrubs.

 

I do so, rubbing lighter than I scratched. Still curious, I look around the room at the gods.

 

The dog appears to be quite pleased, enjoying his bellyrubs. The dog seems to be a good pet to whoever owns him, probably their best friend, too.

Gaia appears to be speaking to Ihra, while Mortius floats ominously where Tenebrae and Lux once stood.

 

I keep giving belly rubs as I continue to look at Mortius.

 

You can't really see Mortius' face under his black cloak, nor any sort of feet, but you have a feeling if you keep looking at Mortius you'll see something unsettling.

Mortius waves a skeletal hand at you.

 

I wave and keep watching, not seeming to mind the feeling.

 

You almost have a feeling you can see a skull under Mortius' cloak, before you catch him in his hollow eye sockets. A hundred of your possible deaths flash by your eyes in a matter of seconds, every death you can feel like it's actually happening to you. Despite it being only seconds, it feels much longer.

 

I look away as soon as I can, then look back to the dog and do a weak smile.

 

The dog rolls back over and licks you with a green tongue.

 

I smile a little more, scratching it behind the ears.

 

Ihra says nothing, hugging Gaia longer.

"Magical creature, and a magical creature. Your point?"

 

The dog quite appreciates it, it's tail wagging quite fast.

Gaia continues to hug Ihra, humming a pleasant tune. Ihra hasn't heard the tune before, yet it feels oddly familiar, reminding her of calm moments as a child.

 

"Well.. I'm not related to her. She's not my father's mother or my mother's mother."

 

I relax, laying down next to the dog.

 

Ihra keeps quiet, continuing to hug Gaia.

Gaia can hear someone else humming with her.

"I don't know... did you know your grandparents?"

 

"Well, no.. but it just seems unlikely."

 

"It made sense to me. Dragon lady creates a bunch of werewolves. Werewolf has an affair with a perfectly normal lady. You're born. I've heard of dumber family trees."

 

"If you put it that way, it does sound normal."
He chuckles.

 

"Making any sense to you now?" Anne asks, smirking.

 

"Yeah. Maybe we are related."
He smiles.
"You happy now?"
