"I wonder.. should I wake up Siln? He did hunt a while yesterday, so it might be better to let him sleep."
He stand up and walks towards Siln.
"What ya think?"

 

Nothing seems to have changed, halls still lined with statues. Every room is still closed, and all of them are empty hold Xlentia's chambers.

"Let him sleep. I wouldn't piss of a dragon if I could avoid it."

 

Onyx sighs, heading to Xlentia's chambers.

 

Ihra and Thirteen are playing a card game as Xlentia watches, resting.

 

Onyx, too scared, changes back to her cat form, casually walking over to Ihra and Thirteen.

“Yes. Perfect. Now, I’ll deal each of us two cards, one face up, and the other face down. We each look at our cards, and you choose whether to draw a card or stick with the two you have. Your goal is to get to a card total of twenty-one without going over. Face cards as worth ten, and aces are worth one or eleven, holder’s choice. Get all that?”

 

"Yeah. Deal the cards."

 

I deal, and Ihra gets a ten of spades, and I get a five of spades.

I notice Onyx after I deal the cards.

"Yeah. That's for the better."
He walks back. Away from Siln.

 

Anne pads after you, Siln letting out a snore.

Not many dragons are awake yet. Either ask someone who is out and about, or wait for Siln.

 

"Anne, would you like to play a game of stones to pass the time?"

 

Four of diamonds.

 

"Uh... another card?"

"Nah, that might wake someone up."

 

“The term is usually ‘hit’.”
I say, giving her another card.
I don’t take one for myself.

 

"Okay..."
She looks at the card.

 

"We could look around a bit? Got any ideas maybe?"

 

"He said head towards the middle caves, so we should probably head towards the center mountains."

 

"Did he?"
Thinking.
"Maybe he did. But I don't remember that."
Pause.
"Anyway, let's go."

 

"Oh. Well, I've been there before, and everything's in the middle mountains."
Anne takes the lead, padding off ahead of you down the valley.
