Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ihra can see me sitting at Praecantatia's computer, and can just hear Praecantatia's voice coming through the doorway.

 

She stumbles towards you, using her staff for balance.
"...That's like interfacing hell all over again..."

 

"There's some more games on here if you wanted to try them out," I say, glancing back at Ihra, "Though I feel like 'Enter the Gun Dungeon' is really missing out on a catchy name somehow."

 

"I dunno... video games confuse me."

 

"I guess we could see if Praecantatia will let us go to that meeting with the other gods then," I say, shrugging, "Katie and Stephanie seem to be having the time of their lives anyway. Katie found grinding endless enemies fun, though she was a siren."

 

Ihra pauses, before hugging you.
"Can we go find Artemis and catch up? I miss her. And Rineth. And Sgavrinn."

 

"...Yeah. Sure thing," I say, smiling, "I think Artemis is going to want me to be around about now anyway."

Suddenly, there's a strange buzzing sound, and I take out what looks to be a walkie talkie mixed with a mobile phone with a large crystal on the back.

"Hello?" I ask, "Mmhmm. Alright, I'll be right there. Tell her not to worry. Oh, she is? Well, I guess I can be there for her anyway. Bye."

I put the commutative device away, "Shadow Stephanie said she's found Artemis after she ran off, so we can go see her first." I say.

 

Ihra nods.
"Should we say goodbye to miss Phoebe first?"

 

"Sure." I say, heading out of the room.

 

Ihra follows you, smiling.
"I missed you so much, I can't wait to tell you about the people I met there!"

 

"Met where? Inside Xlentia's heart?" I ask, confused.

I head into the living room, where Praecantatia seems to be talking on a phone too, lying on her sofa.

"Well can't we host it at your place? None of us actually like hanging out there for meetings...No, I can't because I have guests...My daughter brought some of her friends over...I know I know, what if I host it next time if you host it this time?...Well, it can't be in Tiffany or Lex's place because then we'll be missing one of us...No, Celeste hosted the last one, remember?...You really want to host it at Theodore's? Please, your place is so nice, Grace! It's so lively and happy and just a nice place to be compared to Max's torture pit...Thaaank yoooou...Ok, I'll see you then." Praecantatia says on the phone, before turning it off and noticing Ihra and I.

"Oh, hey you two!" Praecantatia says, smiling.

 

"Hi!" Ihra says happily.
Pause.
"...Aj, what was the thing you wanted to do?"

 

"Go back to Earth to see Artemis?" I say, shrugging.

"Oh, I can teleport you to anywhere on Earth if you need to get back." Praecantatia says happily.

 

"No, the... other thing." Ihra says.

 

"Guess I ruined my nails. That's gonna hurt when I'm walking around."

 

Whatever's happened, the room's dead silent.
Once again, you're tired.

 

"Saying goodbye?" I ask.

 

"Other other thing."

 

I just shrug.

 

"Something about a meeting."
