Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She follows the guard's lead, flinching as anyone else takes a step.
May want to watch her razor claws.


"I can see you type. Who's it to?"

 

The other guard passes the guard a couple of bracelets, which the guard carefully puts onto Amethyst's arms. The bracelets generate a tight shield around Amethyst's claws, not preventing her from interacting with anything, but stopping her razor claws from cutting anything.


"If you must know, I'm talking with the God of Time, Theodore. Uh, Temporus." Praecantatia says, correcting herself.

 

"I wanna see that phoenix. And seeing as he or she is a fire guardian. I think we should search on top of the mountains, or even the volcano."

 

She keeps jittering in every direction, clearly confused.


"...That seems redundant."

"Right, this is a volcano. Yeah, let's climb."
Pause.
"Well... it might be risky. You probably would want water, and there's next to no clean water here."

 

The guard gently pats Amethyst, trying to calm her down.


"Why?" Praecantatia asks, sounding like she's starting to get a little annoyed.

 

"I mean... sure, but..."
Pause.
"Can't be that high of a temperature on top of the volcano, can it?"

 

She freezes while being pat, then starts twitching again.
Sapphire glances over.
"She may be overstimulated."


"Well, he's a god of time. He could be here, or he could already know the message you sent."

"Not a high temperature, but a long climb."

 

"What should we do?" The guard asks.


"It's more to humor him, because he is already here." Praecantatia says.

 

"Just gotta keep pushing forward. Might as well try."
He smiles.
"If it's to long of a way, we'll head back."

 

"I'm not sure. Again, though, her only sense is touch, and she's extremely sensitive to vibrations. If you muffle them, she won't notice it."
Pause.
"That being said, putting her in a foam ball and rolling her around is frowned upon."


Emerald sighs.

"And if we get stuck in the middle?"

 

"We were planning to keep her in a room with a focus on touch, with various textures and objects to play with." The guard says.


Praecantatia just keeps typing.

 

"That works." Sapphire shrugs. "Well, I'll leave you alone for a bit. Expect a few miserable souls tomorrow."


Emerald keeps quiet, annoyed.
"Wouldn't he always have known?"

 

"Thank you." The guard says.


"Yes, and no." Praecantatia says.

 

Sapphire nods, letting her puppet swallow her back into the portal.


"This is why I hate chronomancy..." She grumbles.

 

"If it's any consolation, he prefers to keep his vision in the present." Praecantatia says.

 

"I'm sure he'd love to speak with Sivius..." She jokes.

 

"Who's he?" Praecantatia asks, turning around.

 

"Going down a mountain isn't as hard as going up, so we should be good."

 

"Some old shatter, rumored to nullify all chronomancy in his surroundings."

Anne sighs.
"...Okay, fine. Let's get started."

 

"That might break Temporus, or Sivius would fall under his will." Praecantatia says, laughing.
