Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The bed is soft, though Ali is awakened early in the morning by the sounds of customers downstairs.

 

She yawns, getting up and peeking down the hall.

 

The hall is empty, though chatter can be heard down the staircase.

 

She heads downstairs, glancing around to see if anything changed.

 

Everything appears to be normal, the only change being people ordering breakfasts.

 

Ali knocks on the manager's office again.

 

The manager opens the door again.

"Ah, morning Ali. I hope you had a restful sleep." The manager says, smiling.

 

"Yes, thank you. I just came to get my staff before I left."

 

"Oh, of course. Here you are." The manager says, grabbing Ali's staff and handing it to her.

 

She takes it.
"Thanks again for everything. I'll make sure to stop by if I ever come here again. By the way, what's the name of this town?"

 

"Vixdale." The manager says, smiling.

 

"Vixdale? Thanks." Ali says, waving. "I'll be moving on now. Have a good day?"

 

"You too." The manager says happily.

Outside, Ali finds a young looking man basking in the morning sunlight, his eyes notably blue.

"Beautiful morning, wouldn't you say?" The man asks.

 

Ali nods.
"Yes... h-hey... you might be able to help me! Do you have a moment, sir?"

 

"What may I help you with, miss?" The man asks politely.

 

"Ofcourse. Nothing to hate about him."

 

Ali lets her hand flash subtly.
"I've been looking for some realm of light. A shadow told me that the other realm is much more suitable of a place to visit as a user of light magic."

"You want him as a pet, don't you?"

 

"A realm of light? You mean the lightbulb store?" The man jokes, "Though I might know a thing or two about certain realms."

The man winks at Ali.

 

She smiles.
"Well, that's not what I meant. You wouldn't happen to know someone who might help, would you?"

 

"I just so happen to know a certain someone, actually." The man says.
