Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Does she know about you following her? Sorry for the amount of questions, but I'm curious."

 

She runs them out, doing another sweep for other dirty dishes.

"Yes, she does. I spoke to her about it, and she agreed."

 

There seem to be quite a lot more dirty dishes this time, most of the tables empty.

 

She sweeps until her hands are full (eight platters, stacked with other smaller plates) before returning to the kitchen, marginally slower and more careful this time.

 

As she heads past the till, Ali notices a couple of customers complaining about hairs in their food.

 

"I see. Well that's nice."
Pause.
"Okay, I think I'll be heading back now. I think I see a vague image of the volcanic island."

 

Ali, struck with guilt, keeps quiet and continues on.
She ducks off to the restroom, checking to see how many people would see her use the sink.

"Touch your physical body to end your dream. I'll be waiting for you." Ragnyon says, waving.

 

"Okay, I'll see you later." He smiles.
He walks over to his body and touches it.
"So that's what I look like? Looks good."

 

There doesn't seem to be anyone in the women's toilets, luckily.

 

You wake with a start.
"You found out how to find your soul, apparently." Anne comments.

She washes her hands, using a bit of light magic to stop her fur from shedding accidentally onto any of the plates before heading out again.

 

Once Ali makes it back to the kitchen, she finds the waiter that helped her looking stressed out, leaning against a wall.

 

Ali glances at them, worried.
"What's wrong?"

 

"A few customers have complained about some hairs in their food, and we had to give them full refunds. It won't be good for the rating of this place..." The waiter says, stressed, "Boss probably won't take it well either."

 

Ali sighs.
"That... that's on me. Are those customers still here?" Ali asks, showing one of her hands.

 

"Apparently. Just a lucky coincidence. I just.. slept."

 

"Slept while sleeping. It's almost a joke, if you ask me."

 

"No, they've left," The waiter says, not looking up, "Don't blame yourself, it might have been one of the chefs or even the customers themselves anyway."

 

Ali shakes her head.
"I know it's me. It's always because I'm different. Just... look at me." She says, upset.

 

The waiter glances up.

 

Ali holds up her hands, one lifting her hood partway.
"Please... just don't kill me..." She begs, lowering her hood again.
