Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, just a normal human. Like me, in a way."

 

"Alright. How are the tables labeled?" Ali asks, easily taking both plates with one hand

"Not a normal human, but she looks like a human."

 

"A werewolf?" He sounds hopeful.

 

"Wooden spoons in wine bottles. You'll see, just follow me." The waiter says, heading out of the kitchen.

 

"Unfortunately, no. They're a unique race, called guardians. They're sort of like human-elemental hybrids."

 

"What, like the Leviathan is a sea guardian?"

 

Ali does as told, following her.

"Well... no. It's hard to explain..."

 

"Don't bother explaining then. I'll figure it out if I ever meet her."

 

"I can probably arrange that, if you'd like."

 

The waiter leads Ali out through the bar, heading to the more restaurant-esce area. Each table has a wine bottle on it, a wooden spoon inside each with numbers printed on them. The waiter appears to be leading Ali to 4c, a couple sitting there, one person already with a plateful of food in front of them.

 

"I got some things to do first. Like controlling my wolf side, for example."

 

Ali puts the plate marked 4c on the table.

"Well, whenever you want to visit her, I can arrange something. I just need you to let me know when."

 

"Thanks!" The person sitting at the table says happily, the pair starting to eat their food.

The waiter motions for Ali to follow him again, walking over to table 2a.

 

Ali doesn't ever stop moving, making a beeline to table 2a before doing the same.

 

The person sitting at 2a smiles at Ali, the waiter heading back to the kitchen.

"That's basically all you need to do, aside from collecting the dishes when they're empty." The waiter says.

 

"And how am I supposed to do that? I don't know where you are?"

 

"How many tables am I going to cover?" She asks, almost beating the waitress back to the kitchen. "This reminds me of when I worked my own cafe."

"Do whatever you did to access the spirit plane."

 

"As many as the demand asks for," The waiter says, "We can only serve what's ordered."

 

"Yeah okay. But will you be here or am I supposed to go look for you?"

 

"Do you want me to take orders, or just run food to tables?"

"I'll be here."
