Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

There seems to be a small compartment to open inside the elevator.

 

She tries to open it, taking her hood off.

 

The compartment opens easily, a red leather book inside.

 

She opens it and looks for anything that says 'portal room,' or thereabouts.

 

There seems to be page number for 'Portal Room' in the table of contents within the first few pages of the book.

 

She flips to that page, then puts in the dial combination in.

 

Ali is teleported to the portal room, the terminal waiting by the portal frame, ready for input.

 

She tries to find clues for any coordinates to Earth, checking the backlog.

 

It seems the portal was opened to Earth at one point, the commands probably able to be copied to open the portal again.

 

She tries to copy and paste the commands, and if it fails, she tries to type them out again.

 

There doesn't seem to be a way of selecting the previous commands to copy them, though typing them out works.

The portal opens up to a sunny field littered with trees on Earth, a cold breeze blowing through, carrying a few dead leaves with it.

 

She puts her hood back on, stepping through and looking around.

 

A crow caws and flies away as Ali steps through. The field seems mostly empty, trees with orange falling leaves, nuts and fruits littered around. In the distance, Ali can see a fence leading to a stile.

 

She heads towards the stile, walking slowly and summoning a petrified wood staff.

 

A cold wind passes through Ali, picking up leaves and throwing them around playfully for a moment.

Once Ali reaches the stile, she notices it leads to a pathway, one direction heading to a forested area while the other leads to a clearer area.

 

She glances at the sky...

If the sun is setting, she heads to the forest.
If it's still rising or peaking, she goes to the clearer area.

 

The sun appears to be quite high in the sky, though a blanket of dark clouds seem to be slowly marching toward it.

The clearer area seems to lead to a village, older looking houses built within a large plot of land, a few people walking about. A metal sign reads 'Vixdale'.

 

She approaches one of the people.
"Uhm... excuse me?" She asks, a bit nervous.

 

"Yes?" The person asks, looking to be human.

 

"Would you know where I might be able to find a creature of light?" Ali asks. "I'm new here, and someone said I could find a way to the Realm of Light from Earth."
