Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I start following.

 

"How you felt about shapeshifters. Not werewolves, but shapeshifters in general."

Emerald keeps following, silent.

 

Stephanie heads through the hallway, Shadow Stephanie and Katie trailing.

Eventually, Stephanie comes to a split in the hallway, and she takes a right, heading toward a large tube.

 

"I don't hate shapeshifters. But I don't like it when they use their abilities to do bad things."

 

Emerald just keeps following, glancing down the other hall.

"In that case... do you know why you're likely the last werewolf here?"

 

I just continue to trail Stephanie.

 

"I don't. It is probably just bad luck. Did those who misbehave get killed?"

 

"No. Care to guess again?"

 

"Do the people here hate shapeshifters?"

 

"That's part of it, but not why werewolves were targeted."

 

"Sounds like they hated werewolves because they used their abilities to do bad things."

 

"That, and none bothered trying to learn to control themselves. They all became feral monsters."

 

"I see. The pedigree of my race isn't that great then."

 

The other hall leads to a staircase going up, not much visible past the stairs.


Stephanie access a panel next to the tube, pressing a few buttons on screen before a transparent sphere arrives in the tube, Stephanie turning it over until she finds a lid to it.

"We can get around quicker using these balls to travel through the tube system. They're quite safe." Stephanie says positively, looking back as she unscrews the lid of the sphere.

Shadow Stephanie sniggers, "Balls." She says, amused.

Stephanie just gives Shadow Stephanie a flat look as she gets into the sphere, screwing the lid back on before she's sucked off into the tubes.

Another sphere appears in the tube.

"I'll go next." Shadow Stephanie says, dissipating into darkness that slides into the sphere, before reforming inside. Shadow Stephanie is sucked off like Stephanie, screaming excitedly as she goes.

"Um, do you two want to go before me?" Katie asks nervously.

 

"Not really. I'm not sure if you'll be able to... well... stop your kind from going extinct here."

"Just go in and flood it." Emerald suggests, heading in the orb.

 

Emerald is whisked off through a series of tubes, the experience somewhat nauseating as she's thrown about.

Emerald is eventually deposited in a huge workshop, various massive tools lying about a huge desk. Stephanie and her Shadow seem to be a short distance away at what looks like a wooden totem.

 

Emerald goes over to them.
"I assume there's a size-changing liquid in there."

 

"I don't think I can either. I just want to be able to control my abilities better."
Pause
"Although.. I would like to meet another werewolf."

 

"You may have to visit another world for that."

 

"Later... For now I'm focused on controlling myself."
