Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He looks at the humans who got off. (Any strange looking people on there?)
"How did you know?"

 

The island is quite a distance away, though the group seems capable of keeping up. Stephanie levitates herself, while Shadow Stephanie empowers Katie, flying her toward the island.

 

They all seem fairly normal, though one has a thin tail with a razor spike on the end.

"Quite some time ago, you weren't the only lycanthrope. Many did this same thing, to try and protect their packs."

Emerald slows to fly next to the group.
"Strange. I've never seen a shadow empower another being. Is it just the nature of this reality's shadows?"

 

"It's more reverse possession." Shadow Stephanie says through Katie, one of her eyes notably red.

 

I fly as well, following the rest.

 

"Can the creatures of light do the same?"

 

"Not really. They can perfectly mimic someone though." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Do they feed off blood and corpses as well?"

 

"Just a dragon maybe." He thinks.
He looks surprised.
"Wait, there are more?!"

 

"No, they feed off energy, weirdly enough." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Were. There... were more. You're the first one I've seen in a long time."

"What kind of energy? Any?"

 

"Light and such, ironically" Shadow Stephanie says, "I don't know much about their culture."

 

"Would you know if I would be allowed to visit? I'm curious, now."

 

"I'm not entirely sure how to actually get to the Realm of Light, but you're welcome to ask around and try to get there." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"If I have met with your reality's gods, I think I could figure out a way..." Emerald thinks out loud.

 

"Probably." Shadow Stephanie says.

The demonic roars seem to be much louder now as the group approaches the stone island. The island appears to be a large dome, spikes facing inward into a large pit with an island surrounded by what appears to be some kind of acid. Praecantatia can be seen on the island in her smaller form on the island, breaking open a glass orb and retrieving what appears to be a large rocket, firing it at a massive wyvern-esce creature flying above the acid. The creature appears to be mostly blue in colour, though two large yellow eyes rest on it's head above a large mouth of sharp teeth.

"W-What is that thing!?" Katie exclaims, scared.

 

"...Is it evil?"

 

"It looks evil." Stephanie says, landing on the ledge looking into the pit.

The large creature spits out a red egg, which hatches into what looks like a large scorpion. The scorpion immediately charges toward Praecantatia, catching her off guard. She runs over to another glass orb, many of which scattered around the island, smashing it open and retrieving what looks like a crystal gun of sorts. Praecantatia then aims at the massive scorpion, barely a few meters from her, and fires a round of fireballs into it. The scorpion disintegrates, and Praecantatia aims the gun toward the creature, firing another round of fireballs. The creature wraps its wings around itself, creating a shield to block the fireballs with.

"Think we should help?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"I doubt it. It looks like she's just practicing."

 

"Oh. Right."
He looks a bit down.
"So, are we going?"
