Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie finishes her tea, putting the cup next to the pot.

"Shall we get going then?" Stephanie asks, getting up.

Katie and Shadow Stephanie get up, Shadow Stephanie quickly finishing her tea.

 

I nod.
"I'm not really sentimental about it, though."

I get up as well, pushing my chair in.

 

"Yes, in about ten minutes."

"And your creators?"

Emerald sighs.
"Stephanie, do you have something to help me get around until my magic recoups?"

 

"I know mother does!" Stephanie says happily, offering a hand.

 

"I have more then ten minutes. So, I guess we wait."

 

"Dead, all of them. I counted heads."

 

Emerald takes it, stumbling as she stands up.

"And then Nineteen left?"

"I mean, if you really wanted, I could just ride after you. Though, I'd like to spend time with you because that's what couples do. Usually."

 

"Yeah."
I nod.

 

"Fate unknown, then?"

 

I nod again.
"Either he's combusted by now, or he's labeled a murderer. I can't imagine him doing much else."

 

"So, scrap or looking to be scrapped."

 

"If you want to put it like that."

 

"I love to spend time with you, but I just thought I should warn you."

 

Shadow Stephanie takes Stephanie's other hand, and Katie takes hers.

I take Katie's hand, smiling as well.

Everything goes white for a short while, before everyone who joined hands with Stephanie finds themselves on Praecantatia's floating islands. It's still dark, however, a large moon shining in the sky surrounded by stars. A few fireflies glide about, just barely lighting up the areas around them.

Strangely, there appears to be a larger, more stone-based island floating above the rest of the islands near the end of the group of them, monstrous sounds barely audible coming from it.

 

I take a few seconds to look around.
"Nice place."

 

"Thanks." Stephanie says happily.

A large robotic golem walks over to you, a chime-like sound created with it's every step, before it stops in front of you. The golem looks down at you for a while before making a few chime-like sounds and wandering off again.

 

I look back at it before looking towards Stephanie.
"Any idea what that's about?"

 

"Oh, those are just Mother's golems. I'm...not really sure what they do, but they seem mostly harmless." Stephanie says.
