"Want me to get her, or will you send her to me?"

I say, numbering off with my fingers.

 

"Huh? Who?"

"She said she's wait on the shoreline to see if the Leviathan was still going back and forth."

"I'm noticing a trend."

 

"Most of them couldn't survive on their own anyways."

 

"Jennifer and Maria are a couple of succubi that got offered a job in uh, I think it was called a chronoseum?" Stephanie says.

 

"If you don't mind me asking, what's particulary special about you? Was there any reason you're out and the others aren't?"

"That's an old project... why would Xlentia try and recruit if she can't dedicate her strengh to pleasure?"

 

"Sometimes I ask myself the same question." Shadow Stephanie says, leaning back.

Stephanie shrugs.

 

Emerald pauses.
"...That was a dumb question."

 

"There are no stupid questions, only stupid people who ask them." Stephanie says, laughing slightly.

 

"Well, she acts like the reality revolves around her."

 

"Good. Thank you. Have a save hunt."
He waves Keela goodbye and heads towards Anne.

 

Stephanie stays quiet.

 

She nods, padding off.


Anne is the one orange blob on the yellow sands of the shoreline. The Leviathan isn't visible.

Emerald shrugs.
"Sorry for that tangent."

 

"Can I come with you guys when you go to see Praecantatia?" Katie asks.

"Sure!" Stephanie says happily.

 

"Not really. I got lucky not to be caught collateral damage of Nineteen killing everything."

 

He walks over to her.
"No sign of the Leviathan yet?"

 

"Does she know me?"

"I told him to make a trip without me, and you'd make the next one."

"So one of you turned on the rest."

 

"I'm not sure, actually." Stephanie says.

 

"Do any of the gods here know me?"

 

"So it is gonna be full moon later. So I won't be going back to the pack today."
