Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Avis. She's an orphan, poor girl."
Xephyr freezes Katie's trident so it literally won't move.

OOC: Standing there. Waiting.

 

"Wha-Hey!" Katie says, trying to move her trident.

"I know how that feels..." Artemis says, slight grief in her voice, "Where did you find her?"

 

"Absolute zero." The trident is released.
She pets Avis.
"Actually, Vesius found her in a nursery."

 

Katie crosses her legs, and a bright blue glow surrounds them. When the glow ends, her lower waist seems to be a fish-tail. Katie swims down into her ice-geyser, under the ground.

"You adopted her?" Artemis asks, curious.

"How kind of you!" Stephanie adds, smiling.

 

"She was causing them grief. I took her off their hands, and that's how I met these three. Avis' kind is hunted for their soul. I killed their leader... I think. They were forced to work for him."

 

"Were they under some kind of spell, or mind control?" Artemis asks, looking at the trio.

The ground rumbles slightly.

 

"Just forced by an iron fist. I feel bad for his dragon."

 

"Well, I'm glad he's dead. I can't stand it when people harm creatures for no good reason." Artemis says.

A large ice hand erupts from the ground, seizing Xephyr and growing tall. A smaller ice hand carefully pets Avis.

 

Xephyr seems shocked.
"Wh... The hell?"

 

The force of the hit startles me and I drop.
I catch myself before falling too far.
"Hey!"
I yell as I fly back up.
"I'm kind of in a skirmish here."
I gesture to the vines.

 

Another ice hand erupts from the ground in front of the first, and points at Xephyr. A rather fast and precise stream of water shoots from the fingertip, spraying Xephyr in the face.

A large, icy ramp appears nearby the ice hands. I jump off the ramp and between the ice hands, flipping.

"Looks like you're getting better, but can you handle..." Abigail clicks her fingers, and your right rocket boot disables.

"This?" Abigail finishes.

Abigail disables her right magma boot; she stays hovering however, unaffected.

 

The water freezes and the ice shatters.
"Why?!"
Xephyr's in a hesitant combat stance.

 

"Glad to know that you can just do that."
I comment, a bit annoyed.
I quickly put my sword in my left hand, and put my right leg loosely over my left knee.
"Just like balancing."

OOC: I has roket feet. Not roket boots.

 

"Because you messed with me by freezing my trident. I take my weapons rather seriously." Katie says with a chilly tone, appearing in a small icy pool nearby.

"Looks like you need to chill out." I say, jumping Katie's pool.

"Katie likes to keep her weapons close." Artemis says.

"Good, looks like you got the hang of it." Abigail says, re-enabling your right foot.

Abigail disables her boots entirely; dragon wings emerging from her back. Abigail glides toward the ground rather quickly.

 

"S-sorry. I didn't know."
She kneels.
"Please, let me make it up to you somehow..."

 

Doing this makes me do a few flips.
I right myself up and continue hovering.

"It's fine if you didn't know, an apology is enough." Katie says, her voice returning to normal. Her pool seems to warm up a little, the ice in it melting.

"Hey babe, whats say we do a couple of sick tricks together?" I say, halting next to Artemis. A wooden skateboard and green shades appear in my hands.

"Uh, no thanks." Artemis replies.

"Squaaaaare!" Abigail shouts, landing on her skateboard and skating past.

 

"...This world is so different than ours. I thought you'd kill me for that..."

 

"What? Kill you? I just met you! It's rude to kill someone you've just met." Katie says.

"Agreed, preach it sister!" I say, jumping over Katie's pool again.

Katie grabs me in the air, causing me to fall into her pool.

 

Xephyr looks ashamed, petting Avis to comfort herself.
