Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The girl proves to be to quick for Emerald, seeming to disappear after she gets into the palace.

 

Emerald sighs, turning around and waiting for Thirteen to help her off the ground.

 

I do, eventually, walking in and helping her up.
"Sorry about that. Just thinking about who that was."

 

"Catfolk of some sort. Now, if you'd please just get me there, I can't walk much farther."

 

"Right."
I get her up on her feet, supporting her.

 

She heads towards the palace, hoping some other shadow would come and help her stumble less. (@Nepeta Leijon )

 

A few Shadows pass Emerald by, but they all seem too busy to help Emerald.

"I can't believe she'd do something like that! I mean, it really can't be good for her, can it?" Emerald over hears a forest guardian saying as they walk past her.

"Well, I know for a fact I wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm still surprised she'd risk it though, even though she's mostly immune to it." The forest guardian's friend says.

"Well, I wouldn't try it. The fact that she even used to drink it..." The forest guardian's voice trails off as they walk away.

 

Emerald glances at them, continuing on towards what she hopes is the throne room.

 

I follow by her side as she moves.

 

The throne room doors appear to be completely shut, a couple of guards watching over the people that pass them.

 

Emerald hobbles up to a guard.
"Is... the king busy?" She asks, shaking.

 

"Yes. Do you need to see him for some specific reason?" The guard asks.

 

"I... need to speak with him... on matters that... concern him... I... don't actually know... I just woke up from many thousands of years of amnesia or something... this robot claims I know your king..."

 

"Her name is Emerald and she has memory loss, Xlentia said to talk to the king about it."
I inform.

 

The other guard calls to the guard Emerald is speaking to, and the guard walks over to them.

"Alright. The king's in his game room, you can use the elevators to get to him quicker." The guard says when he returns.

 

"I'm wiped... c-can you carry me, robot?" she groans, shaky as Ragnyon without braces.

 

"Possibly."
I say, testing to see if I can pick her up.

 

Barely.
"Ugnnh... s-sure..."

 

The guard whistles, and a Shadow comes running over.

"Escort this draconian to the king." The guard commands.

The Shadow nods, bowing and looking to Emerald.

"This way, Ma'am." The Shadow says, walking toward one of the elevators.

 

Emerald just gasps for air as she bobs up and down with each step.
