Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

She opens one of the history books, seeing if the titles are misleading.

Sgavrinn starts digging a hole nearby.

 

The book's titled: The Snapping War, and it's about a war between humans and some kind of undescribed reptilian creature. The book's written by a human, and several notes are added to certain pages.

 

"So, what do you want me to do?"

 

She checks the notes, ignoring the bulk of the book.

He gets out of the pit and draws a present box. Then, he draws a stick figure draconian. Finally, an arrow from the draconian to the present, and the present to the stick figure. He then curls up in the pit and hops out of it, landing next to the picture of the present.

 

"So Ragnyon gave a present to someone and that present is you, Sgavrinn.."
Pause.
"Am I the stick figure?"

 

He nods, then shakes his head.

 

"Who's the stickfigure? Did I meet him or her?"

 

He shakes his head.

 

A lot of the notes point out discrepancies in the book, such as notes saying "Not really" or "It was from the right", but a few other seem more personal, reading "Maybe you should stop being a bitch about it" and "Tactics like that are completely fair".

 

"Guess not. Do you and Ragnyon know him?"

 

Keila chuckles a bit, putting the book back and taking another.

Nod.

 

This one's titled "Amagriam: a Biography". As suspected, it's a biography about someone named Amagriam, a supposed genius inventor.

 

She looks for any notes Voidfiller added.

 

None, in fact, this book looks a lot less worn than the other one.

 

"Should I be worried? Want me to come and visit you?"

 

She pages through it.

He shakes his head.

 

She gets the main idea that Amagriam was reported as someone who didn't pay attention or get good grades is school. Then, later in life, he made the Layer, a substance that allows the passage of solids only.

 

"Why did she give you away?"

 

She looks for any other accomplishments.

He points to the present box.

 

"A present. I get that. Why you though?"
