Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"...eave me alone...ugh." Ruby manages to read.

 

"Uh oh."
Pause.
"I'd help, but I don't know where you are."

 

"I can't swim." She admits.

She stops, uneasy, staring at the girl.

"Well, I can't resurrect the dead. I'll just give them some nice weather as compensation, I guess..."

 

The girl just walks away, heading for the exit of the library before pausing to look at one of the bookshelves.

 

"Is that the only reason you don't like water?"

 

"Oh... they're dead. Never mind, then, come over when you're ready."

 

Xlentia's still waiting outside the library, confused.

"That and it hurts."

"I'll be over in a few minutes."

Ten minutes later, she shows back up.

 

"It hurts? What do you mean it hurts?"

 

The girl looks up at Xlentia, staring.

 

"It stings, and I make a hissing sound."

She doesn't notice her for a moment, before looking down.
"Oh, hello little mortal."

 

The girl stares for a bit longer, before continuing on through the hallway.

 

"That's strange. What kind of 'water' was it?"

 

Curious, Xlentia follows her.
"Are you supposed to be here?"

"Normal water."

 

The girl doesn't respond, but she seems to be heading for Xlentia's chamber.

 

"Can I try dropping some water on you? Just a little drop."

 

She grumbles for a bit.
"...Fine."

Xlentia runs over her, closing one of her double doors and blocking the opening from the other.

 

Once Xlentia blocks her doors, it seems the girl has already changed her route, heading toward the gardens.

 

She steps back and lays down in her chambers, leaving the girl alone.

 

"I'll keep that in mind for later."
He continues walking.
