Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Ah, refreshing."
He washes of the paws.

 

The library floors seem brutally resistant to magic.

Your paws are cleaned by the rushing water, and the more you move against the current, the more you can feel the water against the spots of your skin that were burned.
It's a bit cold when you're missing some fur.

 

I enter the library.
"What's wrong?"
"The floors don't want to rise."
I think, then try to fly up.

 

"Alright, most of them are gone."
He tries to get out of the water.

 

Nothing's stopping you from flying.

It's not hard, but your feet get muddy on the way out. Nothing you can really do about that.
"I can't smell you from here anymore, so that's a plus."

 

I land.
"Need a hand?"
I ask Crystal, and he smiles, grabbing my hand and shifting around me.
He shifts himself a little more before I fly up into the barrier.

 

"Good."
He shakes off all the water, maybe in Anne's direction.

 

Just like before, the barriers crumble as Crystal comes in contact with them, though they're making a bit of a mess on the floor.

She darts back.
"Hey! Didn't we go over this already?!" She shouts, annoyed but sounding amused.

 

Not caring, I keep flying.

 

"You can cast fire, right? Could you make a little fire so I can dry up?"

 

"Yeah, but I need a little bit of firewood."

As you get closer, the more it becomes obvious you'll need to catch Emerald.

 

I raise my arms as I fly, prepared to grab her upon impact.

 

"Hold on."
He walks around a little, gathering some wood.

 

As it seems to be with most draconians, she's heavier than she looks.
You'll need a bit more help than your thrusters to bring her down in a controlled manner.

She follows you around, and once you gether a stack, she ignites it.
"Don't burn yourself on it."

 

As we near the library I start talking: "Also, beware when looking through the books, there are silverfish of over 5 centimetres long chewing their way through them, and their bite can be quite nasty! Hehe..." There is an awkward silence... "Just kidding." I say.

 

"Can you help me with this?"
I ask Crystal.
"Sure!"
He shifts off of me a bit, pushing Emerald using his hands and air magic.

 

"Don't ignite it when I'm to close."
He places the fire on a save place.

 

"A silverfish is no scarab."
The remnants of the library are still as you left them; damp and dark.

One does not pick up an active fire.
"Don't put your face in it."

That helps enough to get her on the ground safely.

I walk over to Emerald and poke her with the crystal.

 

Once on the ground, Crystal shifts off of me and looks at her.
