Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What do you mean by lounging around with happy adventures at home?" Artemis asks, offended.

"Yeah, do you think we just gave up and went home?" I ask.

"I didn't actually know Gaia had fallen. I thought all the gods were under the Hive Master's control?" Stephanie asks, confused.

 

"That's it? Nobody else?"
I question.

 

"Thank you, my love."

"No, not all. Xlentia was his first, and then you guys took a break. He was busy during that time."

I shrug, yawning.

 

He kisses her again while holding her close.

 

"Hm."
I nod.

 

"We 'Took a break' because one of us died." I say.

"I'm not really sure what we're supposed to do after we resurrect Ihra, actually. Are we meant to storm the hive master right after?" Artemis asks.

"I had a dream Aj got really mad and got us all together to kill the hive master, but we ended up all dying because we weren't strong enough." Katie says.

 

She rubs up against you, her fur warm.

"Ihra will do... things. She's crazy. Just don't sit back and let things fall apart too much, it'll probably be fine. Probably."

"Well, I'm getting tired, so one more batch of questions and you should leave."

 

He cuddles her.

 

"So we just follow Ihra like we used to?" I ask.

 

"I mean, yeah, that's one way of going about things. That works. Your group is big enough that you could probably work in two units."

She enjoys the moment, content.

 

"This is nice."

 

"Yeah. Probably a bit too soon to declare this love, but I'll call it love anyways."

 

He chuckles.
"So, wanna do anything today?"

 

"I dunno. We could check on the fire, I suppose."

 

"Sure. Just need to remember myself that I have to repair my weapons today."

 

"Being in a large group is better than being on your own." Artemis says.

"What do you mean by 'One way'? Our main goal, apart from defeating the Hive Master, has been to get Ihra back. Getting Ihra back is one of the steps toward defeating the Hive Master though, and we don't really know what to do after that." I ask.

"Maybe we could just construct a giant megadeath laser, bring it to wherever the Hive Master is, aim it directly at him or is army and blast the hell out of them with it." Shadow Stephanie says flatly, shrugging.

"I wouldn't care if the mind controlled people you killed with that laser were innocent. It is a means to an end, and they were going to die eventually despite that." Abigail says emotionlessly.

"Yeah, exactly! Thanks Abigail. We just need an extremely powerful laser that can vaporise planets in seconds and we'll be set for war." Shadow Stephanie says, actually sounding serious.

 

"Just because you think you're right, doesn't mean you are."
I comment.

 

"Sometimes it's not a matter of being right or wrong. You don't have to be a good person to be a hero." Abigail says.

 

"Oh, right. A bunch of arrowheads won't do you much good."

"Sure, go ahead. Again, I told you, there's more than one way. If you want to come off as soulless murderers, be my guest. You just won't be gratified for it." I shrug.

 

"What's the best thing we could do?" Katie asks.
