Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I continue to look at it, only taking a few steps forward to investigate.

 

Your motion catches its attention. It turns to look at you, and its dark green eyes stare at you uneasily.

 

I continue to stare at it
(Considering I have no eyes)
and take a few more steps forward, to test what it will do.

 

It continues staring at you, taking a step back.

You feel a small pulse of darkness pass over you as its hand rests on what appears to be a hilt.

 

I continue to stare. And wait.
I mentally prepare for drawing my heavy Broadsword.

 

After a pause, it speaks.
"I don't mean harm." I mutter.

 

"Then what do you mean?" I ask.

 

"Trying to figure out this place. Heal, leave... Not die."

 

"That's probably a good idea.
Might you mind if I come with you?"

 

I attempt to teleport to the capital of the Darklands.

 

"I'm not sure where I'm going, but if you want demigods after you, I don't see why not."

You succeed, avoiding both the bolt and the dagger. You feel slightly winded, though.

A telepathic link is forced upon you, disorienting you slightly.
"Don't burn the wounds. You'll... how do I put this... explode."

 

"Demigods? Sounds like fun to me!"

 

All this for some world that doesn't even concern me... I teleport to some secluded spot to rest.

OCC: Not sure what else to do since Nyre could be in Brisingr and I might burn there or in the core.

 

"No. No, it really isn't. They're half insane, I don't know what happened with them. Again, I don't know where I'm going, so bear with me."

You recognize the place as part of No Man's Land. Nothing's nearby, and you don't sense anything in close proximity. You sense an anomaly between you and Brisingr, but in this state, is it even worth investigating?

 

I decide to teleport close enough to see the thing, while still keeping a safe distance.

 

It's Ihra, picking herself off the ground.
There's a heavily distorted spot on the ground near where she's holding herself up against her staff.

 

"Look, Draco, as far as I'm sure, I'm half insane myself. Well, you lead, I guess."

 

"My name's Vesius... Seems I've fallen a little too far in the deep end here. I've got a few friends too, but I went the opposite direction they did... Inconveniently... I could either hope civilization won't kill me or run back with the others. Pick what you want to see."

 

"I'd rather go back to your friends. Don't see many different people in the town I live, much less people like you. Might be fun to have some excitement."

 

"Probably because... I'll... Explain later. Maybe. Man, you're excitable." I take a moment to think.

"Alright, I'll turn back. Just don't startle Ihra."
