"Of course I can feel! Everything would be strange if I couldn't feel."

 

"I... give up on trying to figure out how that shit works. Good job on being a golem, you've one-upped me there." He laughs, acting a bit out of it.

 

The nurse seems too busy to respond.


"Oh, sweet. You're officially a human adult now, right?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

Abigail walks over silently, before grabbing Eric tightly around the neck and lifting him up slightly.

"What did you say to me!?" Abigail asks, serious, her face visible up this close. She looks incredibly angry, though a little pale.

"Jesus Abigail, calm the hell down." Shadow Stephanie says, grabbing Abigail by the arm. Shadow Stephanie's hand seems to melt into Abigail's arm, and she releases Eric.

"Sorry about Abigail, she's been acting strangely recently." Stephanie says apologetically, embarrassed.

 

Crystal smiles.
"You can ask Voidfiller once he gets here."

 

"Something like that."

Eric just grins at Abigail.
"Eh, let her be feisty. She's been dead a while, may as well start making up lost ground."

"Oh, boy, it's like everyone came. I shouldn't have underestimated Emerald."

 

"You don't look like it, but fifty years in one room is harsh."

 

"It sucked. A lot. That's why I burned it down and don't regret it."

 

"If everyone we knew came this room would feel a lot smaller."
I comment from the side.

 

"Well, it's actually gotten proportionally larger, probably to counteract that."

 

"It's like starting a whole new adventure."

 

"I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case."
I smile.
"Nice to meet you, by the way."

 

"Also like starting a new life."

 

"You're lucky it's your birthday, otherwise I'd cut that grin out of your face." Abigail says, annoyed.

"She's not dead, we got her back from hell. She's just missing half of her soul." Stephanie explains.

"We think." I say.

 

"Same. Though, you two seem to have gotten the memo that I didn't really open this portal for the sake of more presents... though I do like more presents."

"Eh, she's missing more than that, but that's close enough."
Pause.
"Well, you guys have wrapped objects, which means I want them."

 

"In a way, I know how you feel."

 

"...What do you mean? You don't look like you were cooped up for a long time."

 

"Here, have an extra present from me, since you're eighteen." Stephanie says, throwing Eric a hip flask.

 

"We didn't get the memo to bring presents in the first place."

 

"Is it more effective than caffeine?" He asks, opening it anyways.

"Well, there wasn't one, so you win. Or something. Hell if I know."

 

"Why was this portal opened, anyways?"
