Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He wakes up at midnight, the ocean silent.

Mary trembles as the Ruin drips about, hoping it doesn't cause too much damage.

"You're insane! Absolutely INSANE!" She screams, the fire suddenly roaring forward and overtaking her.

 

"Anne!"
He rushes towards her.
"Get out."

 

The heat of the flames and your survival instinct push you back, and you can barely hear Anne screaming anymore.

 

"Don't you die on me."
He tries to get through the flames.

 

He gets up and flies around the storm, looking for people.

 

As you get closer, you're blinded by the heat, and some of your body goes painfully numb.

It lets you hear Anne, though.
"GET OUT! TURN AROUND AND GET OUT! I'LL BE FINE! GO!"

Not a single boat at this time of night.

 

"But."
*Grrrr..*
He turns around and leaves.
"I hope you're not lying." He thinks.

 

Better drop to the ground and roll - pain is on your mind as your skin burns.

 

The ruin seems to only be so effective where it lands, the plant life soaking it up and destroying it with themselves. A few of the forest guardians seem to be looking at Mary suspiciously.

 

"Gah."
He rolls on the ground when he's far enough from the fire, feeling it burn.

 

Her gut continues dripping ruin, one arm usually trying to prevent innards from falling out as she glances at the guardians nervously.

Well... you hurt all over, and obviously you've got burns just about everywhere. You could press on if you transform, but that's probably not a wise idea...

 

He just keeps rolling on the ground, trying to extinguish all the flames on his fur.

 

It takes a minute, but you finally succeed.
...After this, you may want to consider going to a village and getting clothes made for you. Again.

 

Kenas heads through the clearing to what seems to be a pathway through the trees, glancing back at Mary to see if she's following.

 

She pauses before following him.

 

"Oh, that hurt."
He looks at the fire before heading out for a nearby centaur village.

 

The pathway leads to a few large huts made out of wood and leaves, wounded forest guardians being treated in them. Kenas leads Mary into one of the more vacant huts, heading over to what seems to be one of the doctors and speaking to them, pointing back at Mary mid-conversation.

 

You can barely walk, you're in so much pain.
That, and the nearest centaur village is currently on fire.

Nervous, Mary keeps following as she glances back at the trail of ruin that she leaves.

 

*high pitch whistle.*
"Lucy!"

 

Strangely, out of the trail of withered plants Mary leaves behind, a few odd looking flowers and mushrooms seem to have sprouted in their place.
