Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The guardian pair walk off further into the island, leaving the draconian behind.

 

You get a good perimeter on one end, but you'll need more to keep half the forest from burning down.

She sighs, resting on the ground and letting tears of ruin roll down her snout.

 

Eventually, the draconian hears someone land behind her.

 

He tries to clear away the wood faster, hoping help will arrive soon.

 

She just lays there, weary.

As you go, it slowly becomes apparent that you're not going to get much more help than you have now.

 

"You're not like the others, are you?" A voice says from behind the draconian.

 

She looks up.
"Maybe not... but maybe I am."

 

The voice seems to belong to a forest guardian, though they look a lot different to the others the draconian has seen. They look more like the corpse the draconian turned to dust; war paint on their face accompanied by thicker, spiked wooden armour and clothing that seems to be made out of large vines instead of tightly woven together leaves. Their skin appears to be more tanned, too.

"Well, you don't seem to be working with those pirates raiding our home." The forest guardian says.

 

"I am, so I suppose I'll need to get off my back and defend myself... wait, did they leave me behind?"

 

A bit upset, Voidfiller propels itself out of the water, flying around and looking for people.

 

No boats tonight.

 

"They seem to have," The forest guardian says, "Though, if you want to work with us instead, you won't need to fear the dangers of our island."

 

Voidfiller looks for anyone guarding the storm.

 

"Centaurs, do you guys have any sort of magic that might help."

 

"I don't know what I want... if you don't mind having a walking plague, I'll stay for a while."

Nobody.

"No, nothing to this scale. We sent for the kitsune, but we're unlikely to get their help."

 

"You could be of assistance to us, and we could look into curing you if you desired." The forest guardian says.

 

"We need more people helping us. Got any idea?"

 

"If Gaia can't, you can't. However, it was clear I wasn't wanted with that crew."

"I sent for every tribe. I don't know where else we can get help... dragons, maybe?"

 

"They're pirates. The fact they'd kill other guardians shows they're not especially nice." The forest guardian says.

 

"A cripple would slow them down, too..."
