Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The ground withers away, though not enough to wither what it reveals.

A massive venus fly trap-esce plant seems to have grown beneath the draconian, a vine in it's centre winding it's way around her before it closes around her, shutting her in completely.

The draconian starts to feel a slight burning sensation...

 

She throws her ruin around, trying to wither her way out of the plant.

...Ruin constantly leaks from her gut, as she starts screaming.

 

The plant withers away slightly, the vine around the draconian withering completely, though it seems rather thick and prepared to deal with the ruin.

The burning sensation gets stronger and more painful, and four more vines erupt from below the draconian, winding around her limbs before holding them tight against her body.

 

The tighter she's squeezed, the more ruin leaks...
In an act of desperation, she tries clawing at the insides of the plant.

 

Her claws can barely do any damage, the plant seeming unaffected by it. A liquid splashes off of the insides of the plant as she claws at it, delivering the same burning sensation but intensely worse. Even worse, the liquid seems to be pooling up in the bottom of the plant, the draconian's feet feeling like they're burning away.

 

"Any idea of who I should ask?"

 

She tries using both the ruin and her claws, screaming as she slowly starts crystallizing.

It shakes its head again.

 

Suddenly, the plant is sliced in half, before being burnt to ashes, the fire crawling up the vines surrounding the draconian but not seeming to spread to her.

Once the smoke clears, an air guardian and a fire guardian from Aquira's crew seem to be waiting.

"Are you alright?" The fire guardian asks.

 

"I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't h-have come up here..." She utters, half-crystallized.

 

"It's pretty dangerous if you're not well equipped. You should head back to the ship." The air guardian says.

Just behind the pair, the draconian can just about see what looks like a dead forest guardian, though it looks rather different to those on Aquira's crew.

 

"I-is that corpse taken yet?" She asks, looking at it longingly as she drags what turns out to be a significant amount of ruin towards her, soil and sand behind her corrupted as she pulls.

 

"Aim at the fire."
Looks around
"Those who can, try and remove any nearby wood."

 

A few centaur catch wind of your words, running to go gather others as a few stay behind and start clearing a perimeter around the fire.

 

"Taken? What do you mean?" The fire guardian asks, looking back at the corpse.

"Nasty bastard." The air guardian comments, glancing at the corpse.

 

She covers the corpse in ruin, turning it to dust that she takes and decrystallizes herself.

 

"We need to evacuate any nearby animals."
He looks around to see if there are any animals in need.

 

Anything nearby seems to have already scattered.

 

"Hm...alright well head back to the ship. It's not safe out here." The fire guardian says.

 

"I-I... oh, o-okay..."

 

"Good."
He continues clearing away the nearby wood.
